74" Frontier Snowblower

I just bought a new 74" Frontier snowblower for my JD 4320. I was wondering if anyone else had a setup like this. I'm pretty sure I have to cut the PTO shaft to keep it from binding when I raise it. I just don't know how much I need to take off.

Yep, I got that exact blower (except its red)...

With my 3520/iMatch I did not need to cut the shaft...but if I did not have the iMatch I probably would have needed to cut 2-3 inches off...

I have the same blower for my 4120. The dealer set mine up with the tractor when I bought it. Not sure if they cut the shaft or not. I'd be willing to measure the shaft for you if that will help.

No trouble at all. The tractor is at our horse stables and I may not be there again until the weekend - but as soon as I'm able I'll measure it for you and post it here.

I have a blower coming as well with, very likely the same problem. I'm a novice, but isn't there a slip setup available where the male and female meet some where in the middle??
