I also ordered one the first part of July. As of today, it hasn't been built yet. I was told when ordered 2 to 4 weeks.
My dealer told me there would be no more 230s available till December. He said Bobcat had a program that I could upgrade to a 235 for an extra $700, and these were availabe, in my case in about 3 weeks. I went for the deal, and my 235 arrived, with loader, exactly on the date promised.I don't know what to believe anymore, but I got my tractor and love it so far. It goes out on the first job Monday morning! I would be curios to know if others waiting for a 230 have been offered similar deals.
I am in Canada. I paid more for the tractor initially than you pay in the U.S.A., but seems I got a better price on the 235 upgrade than what U.S. customers are getting. I have come to the conclusion that the compact tractors are NOT Bobcat's priority, and their dealers know very little about them. If you need a skid steer or mini ex., they seem to be more interested, in dealing with you, just my opinion. I hope they will carry parts and know how to repair the tractors down the road.
I was told today that there was a "strike" at the factory, now the tractor I ordered in July won't even be built till November? Anyone else here this or am I being bs'ed. 60 days turns into 4-5 months, then what?
They have also strengthed the tranny and they dont require the break in time to run properly. The front axle is also upgraded, as is the pto splines to molly steel, so no more stripping splines.
I changed to a 235 should hav eit this weekend, so at least 1 230 order is cancelled![]()
I just read the other post, nevermind: $1400 huh. I sure hope that's at their cost. They better not be making more profit off you after making you wait for months.
The two machines have a differance in price of almost $1000. Bobcat let me use the $2500 rebate that was in affect in july. That put it at $2000differance, the dealer ate the rest to make it $1400 diiferance.
I don't quite follow your math. If the normal price difference is about $1000, which I agree is correct, plus you used a rebate and the dealer ate some of the price, how do you end up with an extra $1400? I paid an extra $700 to upgrade to a 235, which I felt was very fair, but each dealer seems to use a different number
My salesmen forwarded me an email from the Bobcat factory that 96 CT230 frames were delivered in the first week of October.
That means little to me now, but this tracotr will be a great christmas gift.
