Looks like Bush Hog has a new lease on life as they've been bought by Alamo in an all stock trade.

Dont know what it means for their manufacturing plants, but the brand should likely live on.

Good news for a good brand.

That'll put Bush Hog, Rhino, Shulte, and Alamo mowers all under one umbrella. Not sure how good that'll be for end users when all is said and done.

I agree that I don't know how good this will be in the end as it is less competition now but at least Alamo bought Bush Hog and not someone like King Kutter. All of the cutters from the Alamo group have a great reputation for quality so the Bush Hog line should at least maintain its current level of quality if not improve some which is good for the end user.

If I had my choice for a new parent company for Bush Hog, the Alamo Group wouldn't be on the radar screen.

Time will tell........

At least Alamo is a major player in the industry. Could have been much worse like a "Capitol management firm" *Cough Cerberus*cough or Daimler

Probably wont help the consumer in the price sense though. But i think the quality will stay, unless they decide to make BH a "introductory" brand and offshore it or something.

Well we dont really know yet do we? I hope the quality stays. We dont know what their plans are. Like i said, maybe theyre going to turn it into a Value line? Who knows, But i hope not
