I have a friend that put the tracks on an ATV.

There is chemical pipeline close to my home and the hill is very steep... A ATV without the tracks can't go up it, because you would flip backwards.

He is the only one that has went up the pipeline on an ATV..... We ride back to the pipeline to watch the dozers & excavators work on the very steep hill all the time.

Even if I had the tracks on my ATV I would not go up that hill.

Camoplast makes all kinds of rubber tracks and a really nice set for ATV's. They're about 3000 for a set of four , they work killer in deep powder!

Or you could just buy one with the tracks already installed.

Tons of guys up here have the matt-track equipped quads to make it legal to ride on the sled trails. There's also a large number of them installed on mintrucks. Dunno how they steer, but I've never heard a gripe. I'd guess "not bad" as long as you were moving?

Tracks on tractors are nothing new. There were conversion kits that used to be sold for the old 9n fords. A lot of the big combines around here run tracks on front, only way that the crops are going to get out of the fields. THey are neat, but tracks for anything are expensive.

I was actually wondering to give me an idea what to expect if I were to get them for my tractor. Around here, you don't pull off the driveways in the winter unless you have tracks or want to get stuck.
