3 PT Carryall box ?

I,m begining to have second thoughts of using the treated 2x10,s I have , I,m afraid it may end up being a little to heavy for this little tractors needs . So as ussuall I still haven,t got much Accomplished . . Bob

Another procrastinator, join the club If weight is a key issue, got any metal angle and perforarated sheet stuff in the scrap pile? 2x PT flooring and a metal cage could make a neat setup.

Hey Bob, hopefully if I do this right, here are some pics of the truck/SUV tires on my F13D. You can see they give it a little wider stance than the ag tires that came on it.

Another idea with respect to keeping weight down on the carryall, if you decide not to use the mesh wire, would be 5/4ths treated wood. I used this on my deck and it made a really sturdy structure. It is also what I used for my little trailer you see with the Yanmar.

Yessir Ron , Thanks for the pics , looks great . I,m guessing Your tractors bigger then the 1300D or is it the same size ?

How did you figure out the proper size tires so it would stay in sink with the fronts ? My rears are marked 8-16,s . & fronts are 5-12 I beleive .

Are your rears taller as well then the older tires or based on the same overall size ?

Sorry for all the questions Ron , but if They are the same , I,d like to know what size SUV tires You used if You dont mind .

I also have some of the lumber You are talking about & thinking about using it with some light angle iron for frame work for the carryall to keep the weight down . If it was for My use I would have just thrown something together. But I want to do it right & only once since its for the wife . Thanks again for all the help & the pics. Bob

My tires are the same size as yours, and I think our tractors are pretty close to the same overall size with respect to hp and weight. I got my truck/SUV tires before I knew anything about relative size front to rear to mesh with 4wd. I put mine on about 4 yrs ago, and I didn't know anything about sizing for 4wd until I got to this site, about 6 mos ago. My original rear ag tires are gone and I don't know what the roll-out or overall height of the rears are suppose to be. However, I have never had any issues with fronts seeming like they were not in sync with the rears. My rear tire height, groung to top is about 31 3/4 inches. If you get the opportunity, I would be interested in what the ground to top height of yours are. The tires I have are BF Goodrich all terrian T/A radials. LT 285/75 R16, 3 ply sidewall tubeless.

Once again thankyou Ron . The rears on this are more like rice tires I think, not sure if thats what You had or not. But the lugs are much taller then my other tractors .

Anyway I ran out & measured , Its sitting on gravel so hard to get an exact measurment but looks like right at 31 " & could be a tad taller if sitting on concrete . So i,d say you hit it close enough . I will see what i can find used in the size You gave me.

Just to let you know how much i pay attention. I thought yours was bigger because I noticed You had 6 lug bolts on the rear & this only has 3 . when measuring I just noticed its missing 3 on each side . Luckily the holes are there & threads look good , They just forgot to put them in.

Still No carryall Built yet , But I got the tires on ,( Thanks Ron ), , Rearend leak fixed & the brakes adjusted , fuel tank & rearend vents fixed . Tires Made a Huge difference , No digging or Throwing water or mud up on Me I just took it for a test drive around the property after a nice rain. Hopefully I,ll get the Box built tommorow . It looks like I am a little late, but my thoughts would be to invest in pallet forks instead of the carryall. Dont get me wrong I have both, but I dont use my carryall anymore. I use pallets and also built a carryall box that has pockets for the pallet forks to go into.

I like the pallet forks because they have a 2000lbs capacity whereas the carryall is only 500lbs. The ease of picking up different carrying devices is easier is a plus also.

Better late then never cmh61271 . I here Ya , But his is just the wifes little garden tractor . I have 2 other bigger tractors as well as an 8000 lb capacity forklift . So this will just be used to haul Her gardening things . No real heavy weight involved. But thatks for the input . . Bob

That is a great idea a 'wife's tractor'
