I have a GREAT wife!

Well, I got a new BX2660 with the front end loader and a Lands Pride reverse tiller about three months ago. I couldn't afford the mower, and figured I would get it next year after I save up for it. I have an old zero turn Toro, (Model 1852), that I use for mowing, so I thought no big deal. WELL, last week the Toro, (may it rest in peace), died. One of the hydros went out and I didn't want to put that kind of money into an eight year old mower. The wife and I were talking about what to do. She paused for a second, sighed, and said, "d@mn Toro", and preceded to tell me she had been secretely saving up to get me the mower deck for Orange Crush, (my nickname for my BX), for my birthday. She told me she was just a couple of hunded bucks away and that she called the dealer, (JR Equipement, I love those guy's), and planned the whole thing. Well, because of the demise of the Toro, she went ahead and got it for me that weekend! Early b-day present! I have to say, I loved my Toro, But and I mean, BUT!, the BX mowing is absolutely incredible!!! I am soooo surprised at how different it is mowing with OC. I think this is the best gift my wife has ever given me!

I have a great wife too. She got me a 24 X 48 foot brick garage. She ended up paying for 80% of it since I would have had to pull money out of my IRA and pay taxes on it. Best present anybody ever gave me, well maybe the kids were better.

BobRip, that's awesome. My wife did "allow" me to build a 40'x60' pole barn with wrap around porch. She made the comment that she was scared I would fill it up with "toys". She was right to be scared!

I also have a great wife. When she sees me hanging around the house she'll ask what I'm doing, and when I tell her I'm waiting on Steve Barlow to bring my new tractor she just shakes her head and wanders off.

Nice to have a wife that understands what tractors mean to a guy. Makes ya kinda teary eyed. Now, of course, you have to figure out how to get her something special. Unless she's really extra special, I suggest it not be a tractor implement

Mine "allowed" me to build a 36X48 garage with a loft for a woodworking shop! So, in return, I bought her one of those pre-made mini barns that look like log cabins for her to put her gardening stuff in. (actually so it stays out of my garage) I even put electricity and running water in it for her!! You get more bees with honey!!!

Ductape, actually she is! I like to smoke & grill meat and she pretty much makes everything else. Her specialty though is strawberry pie!

I wouldn't do tractor implements for my missus (she has had the unfortunate disadvantage of growing up in the city and just doesn't have a lot of comfort with the tractor - yet), but she did ask (without any prompting from me) for a pancake compressor with nail guns for our anniversary a few years back. She's also good looking and is a great cook (and just authorized me to pursue a B2630).
