Hi there..

Just curious if anyone has pics or can explain how the sprayer that bxpanded sells mounts on the bottom part .. Like where it hooks to tractor hitch. Many thanks in advance

Did you take a look at the Sprayer Installation video on their website? If that doesn't have the info you're curious about I've found them very responsive to email questions.

I have the BXpanded sprayer for my Kubota 2360, have been very happy wtih it after several uses. I'm not clear if you're referring to the quick-on piece that mounts to the tractor, or asking how you attach the sprayer to the quick-on mount.

The quick-on mount has a fixed pin on the bottom which fits very easily into the pin hitch hole at the bottom of the tractor. The top of the mount is attached to the tractor via the top link mounting hole on the tractor; you use your existing top link mounting pin.

After you have the mount attached to your tractor, the sprayer has a fixed piece on the bottom that slips onto the mount; the BXpanded mount is made only for the BX series, so it's an exact fit on the tractor. One pin hold it together.

The BX mount also fits their "carry-all" which I bought; its an 18" X 32" metal platform which can carry simple tools, bags of fertilizer, etc. Haven't used it much yet.

Have had no problem with the mount; used the sprayer several times, it is sturdy even when filled with 25 gallons of water/herbicide, and easy to remove.

Hope this helps.

Ken

Thanks for the reply... I am curious as to how with just one pin and the mount on the hitch it keeps it from moving or I guess swinging back and forth a bit, especially when tank is full...

The top link mount is square to the bracket, and wtih the top link pin inserted has little/no sway. The bottom pin gets a little help with a welded "L" shape at the back which sort of fits behind the pin hitch and keeps it from swaying beyond maybe 1 inch or so. It's not tight, but the sway is pretty minimal.

Is that a bar inside a pipe or a solid bar machined down?..
Would of emailed you back but the tractorbynet pages would just bring up the home forum page...

I have all the dimensions for every piece i used if anyone wants...
I used 1-1/2 solid SS round stock and 1-1/2 pipe for the bottom bar. The 1-1/2 pipe is 12-3/4 long and the 1-1/2 solid stock i cut 2 pieces 2-1/2 long. I had to very slightly shave the inside of the pipe because on rolled pipe there is a slight flat spot where the pipe was weld, so just a slight shave is all that is needed for the solid stock to fit nice and snug inside, then welded.

This was the material i had available to me for free, so that is what i used. You could just use any round stock that is 1-1/2 od to fit in the hooks for the backhoe. Dont even need the oustide pipe. I just figured that a 1-1/2 id pipe would be a little lighter than a 16" solid stainless steel 1-1/2 stock would be. If i had aluminum stock i would of made it out of that.

Ha Mustangous---I have looked at your site and buying one complete for $450 done (a sponsor here) but I could not do it due to budget reasons..

So I ordered one 26-g broadcast from Northertool ($169.99) and I made the mount like yours...Thanks for the pictures since it helped.

I also ran some analysis on the part when completed welding (in Patran; aka FEA) and I was getting up there in PSI..So I added the crossmember to the vert section.

Not the best but for about $250 complete with sprayer, not bad!

The steal was 50% free and 50% bought at TSC.....
