I have the CD manual for my 4200, and its around 700-pages long as I recall. I copied the PDF file to my hard drive, and since Deere didn't add links and bookmarks to the file, I embarked on a weeks long fill in project to add links and bookmarks to make navigation easier. I would usually do one chapter at a time, with the electrical section being the exception since its so long. This is something Deere should have done; but didn't regardless of the CD being half the price of the paper manual. I then printed out a copy for the garage.
I would however still get the CD because you can easily re-print damaged pages versus buying a whole new paper manual, and you can read the manual on your PC should you need to check something quickly without having to go out to the shop.
