The BX2350 tractor isn't part of the question. Just threw it in since I had the pictures taken.
Didn't show my L3240HST but it's a clue.
The question is: Do you know what this is?

Here's pictures from this morning. Got this rock out of the project.

More pictures from this morning. Spent about 3 hours on it yesterday. Got stuck 2 times, ran out of fuel and almost turned over carrying the big rock. The black dirt isn't good topsoil, it's burned dirt and it's slick. This was piled up trees and rock then some dirt. My big concern is falling through dirt on a pile of trees which is what happened the last time I got stuck. Back wheels were still on slick dirt but front wheels were down in trees. Lifted front end up with busket, threw rocks and limbs in hole then let wheels down and backed out with pushing with bucket.

Looks like the top half of a natural gas meter. Call before you dig!

The first picture, can you tell us what is carved in to the bottom 2 feet of the tree in front. It looks man made. Use magnifier or press Ctrl, and roll the thumb wheel.

We don't have natural gas where I live. It's on the other side of the mountain coming from Eastern Ky going to Somerset (Town).

Here's new close ups of both trees and I don't see any carving. Just a nick in one spot.

The tree has been scuffed but if the question is meant as what caused it...I don't think an animal.
So what gives?

When I bought this land 6 years ago it was all thick trees where my house is now located. I spent a month cutting trees with a chain saw. Then I had a man with a bulldozer come in and do more clearing. He did more in a day than I did in a month so that's why I recommend some jobs be turned over to people with more suitable equipment then do the finishing up work with your equipment. The front of the lot was clear as in this picture. The man with the bulldozer nicked some of the trees. I was trying to pick the ones to keep as he was working and I could start seeing what I had. There were a lot of cedars and I just wanted to keep the hardwoods that wouldn't interfere with my house location. Lots of hugh rocks that also created some manuvering problems. The smoke is where the house is now or close.

This is what I saw.

Surely, dose anyone not see some kind of design. On my computer, using XP, and IE7, I can hold the Ctrl key and roll the thumb wheel. and I can zoom in up to 1000 percent. Maybe it is just an illusion.

Here are 4 more pictures 2 each tree that was in the picture. I don't see anything other than the nick on one. You don't have some type of smoke near you do you? Maybe drifting from your neighbors house.:)

You're still not looking close enough. You have to zoom in at least 500x to really see it. If you zoom in 1000x like jj you will see it for sure.

I've been married long enough to answer that question. It's a young girl. It's always a young girl, believe me, you don't EVER want to forget it, hesitate, or even hint elsewise!! :D

jj, after looking at the young girl-old woman drawing I can see what you see on the tree now. That's really cool.

Sincerely, Dirt
