OK I'll admit this is not an essential option to have on the tractor but there's an ambient temp gauge on my GoldWing so I kind of liked that feature so I wanted to put one on the beast.

I ordered the digital temp gauge and it cam with the sensor. some don't so watch for that if any of you ever go to buy one. I also ordered the universal gauge pod that is the slickest thing. It comes with enough adapters you could mount it on your head if you wanted to and it eliminates the need to drill out your dash to mound the gauge.

I mounted the unit with two way tape and put it on the side of the bracket for the reverse camera. I ran the two power wires down to the fuse box and the other two out to the rear light on the back of the cab. The last two photo's so the readings I got. the gauge is in Celsius and I used my hand held temp gun to check the accuracy of the unit. Close enough for me.

For less than a $100. it was a nice addition to the tractor. For those who don't have a cab you might not need this addition :D

I haven't actually checked the draw but there should be very little because I started out replacing the top signal lights with LED's. The rear snow blower ones are LED's. The top strobe light has very little draw and the reverse camera is just an LCD so the largest draw will be on the original equipment that came with the tractor like the rear defog, front and rear cab lights. Ya I like gadgets :D

Thanks

WaxMan I purchased those top lights from a Canadian company called Princess Auto. The P/N is 8059552. The regular cost is $34.99 CDN but I got mine on sale for $19.99 each. There much nicer than the 70's looking cheap looking ones that came with the tractor and these are full LED's.

You can down load the PFD file here http://downloads.princessauto.com/?Lid=E

Go to the section "Truck and Trailer" scroll down to page 34 and they will be item (M) and you'll see them. I think there very nice and I'm happy with them.

I ordered a new gauge pod today and a matching digital volt meter to go the the other side of the reverse camera bracket today and then I'm done with the add on's I think :D

Gee Dirt I was going to go that route but would have had to remove the FEL control, Most of the dash and modify the cab a little. Wife said it wasn't in the budget :(:D

4shorts Thanks for the light info, I will get them.
One thing you have to do and I know if anybody can do it you can, is make a dash panel above your factory dash find some shroud similar to my b3030 to house your monitor and gauges , you could either make it out of sheet metal or find some plastic shroud you can modify to fit and paint to match.
Then you can mount the monitor right in the middle and around it all your gauges switches and whatever future modifications you come up with.
It will take some time but you can make it real nice and factory looking with the monitor built in just sticking out a little and the bracket inside the shroud not showing.

When I did my gauges I bought another panel from Kubota in cased I messed it up, the panel costs $12.00 maybe you can even use one like that to begin with. I think you can make it real nice if you give it some thought.

After getting inspired by all your work and new tractor I put some running lights on mine and painted the underside of my roof like yours because I really like the look of the black painted underside of your roof And I like your LED signals I also like your beacon but I do not have the overhead clearance.
Running lights would look pretty good on your cab. I think anyway,

I'd be surprised if he doesn't have that light in stock. If not, he can order it for you. He deals in a couple other manufacturers as well as Truck-Lite. He's a good guy, I know him from back in my truck drivin days...... he'll ship to your door if'n you want him to.

That my friend is one nice looking setup you have there. Great workmanship. I thought about doing something like that until I purchased the reverse camera. It sits on top of the dash so to put it in an enclosure would make it even higher plus very noticable from the outside of the windshield. Under the tractors dash there's no room for shaving any space off.

By getting the gauge pods and attaching them on both sides of the camera bracket I'm only using up space that's already there. I've done a few speaker boxes for the local rice burners out of fiberglass so later on I may consider doing something in that direction and color match it to the interior of the tractor.

Love the cab marker lights you have. I was into a truck center a few weeks ago and they had a set of the latest type ones that on the new trucks which is the one wide one in the middle and one smaller one on each side. Believe me, I was tempted and may do that next.:)

If you want a close up of the top LED cab lights I can post them. If you can't find any in your area let me know and I'll get them on my end and send them to you. I don't want to see someone like yourself who likes to do these things right being stuck :D Nice work there friend!

I like that ambient air temperature gauge!

Thank you sir. Now I'll get the snow pushed before it melts :)

How do you keep all those LCD screens from freezing up there in the frozen northland?

I don't really know. I live in a warmer climate then most on the island where it don't go very far above freezing most of the winter. Last week it was cold though. It got down to - 26 degrees C and the tractor was out in the cold all day and the LCD worked great when I started it up.

Hey WaxMan here's a few other pics of some crazy stuff I've added to the tractor. I added some chrome in various places and I did the rear fenders with some black auto trim to take the plain edge off of it. I also added a row of sealed red LED lights to the door step. It's great in the dark and very visible from side on. Some might think it's all crazy but this tractor is just used for plowing snow and nothing else. It may never see a dirt road :D

All nice work 4shorts very clean work whatever you do on it. Slow down so I can keep up to you.
I have some improvements I'll share with you soon, when I'm done.

So what if it were to see dirt , I would do all that to my tractor and would not be afraid of dirt work, is the roof of your tractor painted , it's very shinny.

Thank you very much for the offer of getting the lights for me, I called my auto parts supplier and he is going to get them for me by Tuesday. I knew he carried Grote but I didn't know he had a Truck-lite connection.
FYI I own an operate a 6 bay Garage service center for the last 28 years you and I are kind-of in the same line of work "repair business".
I like getting ideas from your work keep them coming.
And thanks again.
