I broke a tie rod end last night on Lil, my hoe................:D

Checking around to buy new ends, they have reached a little past their life expectancy, and was looking at the large link between them, and wondered just how bent up mine was.

Does anyone have a similar hoe? Like a D or E with 4wd?

Could you take a gander at the link that ties the two wheels together, the parts book picture shows it straight, and if that is the case, mine is bent to patootie, but I am wondering if it is just straight in a drawing and in real life those bends are supposed to be there?

Thanks for the help.

WOOOOOWWWWW

Anyone have ideas on cheaper places to get the tie rod ends.

$90+ for one and $160+ for the other side!

Good greif, color me cheap, but that is just ridiculous for what they are.

Welcome to backhoe parts buying...:)

I dunno the configuration of the ford steering, but you might look at the Case used parts places. They call them ball joints but tie rod ends is what they are. They mount
directly to the steering cylinder on the Case.

Reminds me of the trans kickout solenoid I got awhile back... Slightly smaller than a can of beans. 275 clams... Stung a little...

Yeah, the words, "big boys toys" got mentioned to me a couple of times lately............................

Still checking on outside sources before I bite the bullet.

Found a "used, in good condition and straight" complete draglink with both tie rod ends. Said one rubber boot has a tear.

$150 plus shipping.

As my drag link looks like a curlycue, I figure it is worth a shot so it is on the way.
