I've been trying to get a rental on a conventional cab PT-100 w/ AC but the dealer says no luck on a pressurized unit...too specialized to put into a rental fleet...

I'm hoping someone in the Northeast is putting together a demo...Quickdraw do you know of anything?

I have not heard of any BUT I have not been looking either.

I did check out a Mustang 2109 today...big rig. Might rent one as back up for some rotary mowing.

Ive just been quoted $88,000 for a 2109 with over tyre grouser tracks . The only thing that concerns me is the low ground clearance and the fact that they have dropped from 115hp to 90 something which is why i was interested in the first place .

I also have a 2006ASV with an air conditioner that has never worked properly how does yours work?

I am also now after 1100 hours experiencing hyd. oil temp light glowing after 45min. of running.

Which ASV do you have? The Red Dot air conditioning systems are one of the best. Our Northeast 90 is no problem for my unit on the SR80.

My AC stopped working but it ended up being the fins were completely block with dust and pollen. Cleaned it and it works fine now. 1080 hours today 2006 RC100.

Quoted 55K for 2109 with out tracks.

Might want to power wash the hyd oil cooler really good...

I have the factory AC. I do not have the Red Dot. Yellow Dog suggested I try one but I do not want to spend more than I have to. I keep thinking Terex will improve the ASV.

Are you sure the factory AC is not the Red Dot?

No, I am not sure. I will ask.

I know SR-80's have factory Red dot A/C's, mine doesn't have A/C but I wish it did on those hot days.

we have the factory unit on our RC100 and have had issues with the AC since the begininng mostly caused by the unit getting dirty but do to the forestry kit its a real chore to get to the unit and ESPECIALLY to the radiator in the engine compartment to clean it...seems to me that they could have done a much better job with this system...the new PT Forestry models seem to have their kits designed WAY better tho but i have yet to actually see one in person..our local dealer is the very definition of L A M E :(

I have a new pt 100 with the Pressureized cab this thing is going to be awesome plus it has two more gallons a minute of flow. The guys at asv are finally thinking in the right direction

I have a 08 with the forestry package and also had the air quit. Just got it back from the shop and they also found the cooling fins packed with dirt. It is an extreme pain to clean the fins- thought we had them clean but guess not. Also they found a heater switch bad and replaced it. Hopefully it will work OK now. Also have had major overheating problems but hopefully have got that ironed out- New redisgned hood coming.

I am thinking of trading my 08 pt 100 for one with pressurized cab, I have had a continious problem with ac in this one, would like to hear how you like your new one after running it a few days.

4 years ago I put a Red Dot aftermarket A/C unit on my 4810. Ran fine for about 10 hrs- kept chewing up the drive belt for the compressor. Though I figured that out. Then it kept overheating. then I had a limb come though the brush guard and wack a hole in the condensor. Its been a nice dust and branch collector on my cab ever since. $3200 and it worked for 10 hrs.

Nice to know that even the ones from the factory have issues...does make you wonder if the ever test them.

Do brands other than ASV have these sort of issues? Fecon/Rayco FTX's? Supertrax?
Would be interesting to see if the new cab has the same problems...

Do'nt they test these thing's ????????????????

We had problems with the Bobcat A/C units when I sold them. It has been a struggle for all OEMs to find a good reliable A/C system. I was told that ASV tested their new pressurized cab down in Florida this summer.

Cool , pardon the pun .:)

Where is the condensor on the PT100F and other machines with reversable fans ? Are they on the roof or are they in front of the radiator ? If it's the latter they will never work with the reversable fan blowing hot air through them . If they are on the roof of the PT100F it really should not have black paint anywhere near it which from what ive seen , they have . Location is the only problem i can see with performance of the AC's . The rest is not rocket sience , the biggest Sandon pump you can fit , and the biggest evaporator , condensor and fans that will fit , and locate the condensor with a bit of thought .
