BX2370 Kubota
Disappointed And Corporate Customer Support Is Of No Help.
Model Year: 2015

I bought this tractor to replace a BX2350 that had 600 hours on it. The first problem was that the first time I used it. It coated the inside of the left rear wheel, and the frame on that side, with hydraulic fluid. I found that the factory had failed to properly tighten a hydraulic fitting. Also, I found out that when operating the tractor on a slope of 15 degrees or more, with the right side downhill, I get a heavy shaking through the floorboard, the seat, and the steering wheel. I found out this is due to a "motion limiting" L bracket on the right side of the engine that is too close to the frame. This is a design error "engineered" in at the factory. When I talked to the regional service representative, his solution was to force a piece of rubber hose between the bracket and the frame. I don't think that a jury-rigged solution is appropriate for a $14,000 tractor. An engineering solution and retrofit part should come from Kubota to fix this. Since most of my yard slopes at 15 or more degrees, this is a constant nuisance and I have told the regional service representative that it could have a long-term consequence in weakening the frame welds. His choice is to ignore the problem rather than take this to Kubota corporate. When I listed the manufacturing complaints on my "customer satisfaction" survey form and sent it in, I heard nothing. Finally, after hearing nothing for a month, I called and found out the form was "lost." After a week, I received a call that customer service had now found my survey and rather than report these problems to a corporate level, their solution was to refer me to the regional service manager - we see how well that worked.

Pros: Heavy duty construction, good paint, features, reliability
Cons: Poor design for limiting engine movement, poor factory support, poor quality control in allowing this bracket to make it through design and into production (inadequate testing and poor quality control), and poor assembly in leaving a hydraulic fitting loose (again, a lack of quality control)

BX2370 Kubota
Kubota BX2370
Model Year: 2013

I just love my dads kubota bx and i'm the only one who drives it about 99% of the time between me and him. I don't yet have the FEL for it but with it mowing at about 2500-3000rpm, the thing feels like it has way to much power for its size tractor. I love the thing to death, even the sound of it idling is so great to hear. I have noticed that if I start it up, the way that the hood compartment is built, it has a bad rattle sometimes when I start it and let it warm up. When it shuts off as well it kind of sounds like that their is a herd of animals under the hood. So I took two bungee cords and hook them underneath the frame wear the FEL subframe bolts onto then put it up and over and hooked it the same on the other side. And now, no more rattle when it idles and it has a nice soft shut down just like a big farm tractor. Me and my father are getting the FEL very soon and we are gonna use it for plowing this winter along with our 5' rear blade. I have gardens in the spring to tear up with it to so I have plenty of work to do with it for the next few months. In the winter I use diesel 911, and i plug it into the block heater, those to things will ensure the life of your tractor during the cold winter months. Doing those two things last winter, the tractor started right up even in -30 degree weather after being underneath a tarp for the whole night.

Pros: Sounds great, plenty of power for a tractor of it's size. Four wheel drive works wonders.
Cons: light front end if you dont have a front mounted implement

Kubota BX2370

I love that little machine. When ever I have needed it, or when ever my father has needed it, it has been there for us even when it was -30 degrees. As long as the tractor is plugged into the block heater and after glow plugging it for about a minute even in the -30 weather it started right up. During the winter it sits underneath a tarp behind our house and it is just the greatest first Kubota tractor that me and my father have ever owned. We have a 60" MMM for it and that thing mows like a beauty. When I did the 50 hour full service on the tractor I also loved how easy it was to service it but I learned from my mistake and I'm never working on the tractor in cold weather again.

Pros: Loves how it runs
Cons: Don't like how light the front end is without suitcase weights or FEL with a rear blade on the 3pt

Freaking awesome tractor
Model Year: 2014

I had a demo on my property for a month. Comer Equipment was awesome to deal with. Mr. Comer helped me all the way through. I could not be happier. I have pulled out trees and moved dirt, plus it cuts the grass oh so well. My neighbors are envious. Just a super awesome package.

Pros: I have to climb up, and have power for days once I am in the seat.
Cons: I have to climb down now....Hahahaha!

Todds Awesome Little Tractor
Model Year: 2013

I've used this tracter loader hard man for my acrege. Rev. it up and abuse it. Ya can't hurt this thing. 60" mower, 8 acres, no prob. Big snow---built a 8' blade for it---clearing a big driveway. Plug it in the winter and fires up instantly. Worth every penny.

Pros: Good pushin' power, turns sharp, loader awesome for the size of the tractor.
Cons: Little rough ridin'.

BX2370 Kubota
Very Nice Tractor
Model Year: 2014

So far, the Kubota BX 2370 has done everything I have asked it to do. I have pulled up small trees (up to 3 inches) with little problem. The tractor runs out of traction even in 4 wheel drive before it runs out of power. The 23 HP engine seems to work effortlessly. I have the 60" mowing deck and it cuts okay, but not as well as my riding mower, but still I am pleased with the cut. Deck removal is simple. However, some videos show that you don't need to change the small wheels on the deck and it will slide out very easy. I tried that the first time I removed the deck and found that it was very hard to slide the deck from under the tractor. I now change the rotation of the wheel 90 degrees and roll the deck from under the tractor and find that very easy to do. The deck weights 250# and for me, that is a lot of weight to move around. The FEL will pick up a full load of 60/40 sand in the bucket very easy. I carry the load low as I can see where it would very to tip the tractor over if carried at the max height. I have not put any ballast in the rear tires yet. Have not needed too. If I decide to put water or other type ballast in the tires, I am going to put tubes in the tires and then water in the tubes. I think this will help with corrosion on the steel wheels. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of the small tractor.

Pros: Plenty of power for a sub-compact tractor.
Cons: Mower deck removal/replacement could be improved.

BX2370 Kubota
Less Is More
Model Year: 0

My first Kubota, which I still have, is an L3130. It was used to clear 25 acres of woods and brush in Georgia. I abused this machine, asking of it much more than it was intended for. It never broke. It's dented and beat, but mechanically it still functions as new. I moved to a smaller place in the mountains of Tennessee. The 3130 again bush hogged heavy brush, pushed over trees, and drug heavy cut timber out of my hollow. But it's just too big for the property now that I've got it improved. I needed a smaller tractor with a finish mower. After my first Kubota, I never thought about buying another brand. I shopped hard before deciding on my BX2370. The final decision was based on the steep slopes and my fear of turning a larger tractor over. I was apprehensive, but my dealer told me it was enough tractor to do what I needed. He was right. It will cut high grass and small brush without a burp with it 60" mower. The FEL, while small, has enough break out power to lift the tractor and definitely fill the bucket. Bottom line: On a smaller piece of property with tight spaces I've been able to do more with the BX2370 than I can with the larger tractor. It handles quite easily, has a tight turning radius, climbs steep slopes without complaining, and cuts on slopes that terrified me or I just plain couldn't do with the larger tractor. Before I bought it, I thought it might be an overgrown lawn tractor. Now my impression is it's an under-grown full-sized tractor. I've got a couple of more projects for the bigger tractor, then it's up for sale. The BX2370 seems great for smaller pieces of property. I never had a repair with the 3130 and don't expect any with this smaller tractor.

Pros: Quality and power.
Cons: Slow bucket speed, slow travel speed.

BX2370 Kubota
Powerful Subcompact Tractor
Model Year: 2014

I've only had my new BX2370 for two weeks, with just a dozen hours on it, and replaces a Cub Cadet 1050 lawn tractor for my 1.5 acre property. I'm totally impressed by the tractor's power, and the effortless and precise steering. I've serious issues with shoulder pain, and the power steering is a delight! Though it has a theoretically wider turn radius than my lawn tractor, the longer wheelbase and geometry of the wider mid-mounted deck permits me to weave precisely around flower beds, and a much smaller diameter circle around trees. The FEL is extremely easy to remove and remount (follow directions to the letter, and you'll have no issues!), and the mower deck, likewise. My wife enjoys using the tractor, and her first remark on trying it was how light on it's feet it was. The rear tires have been loaded with Caliber brand tire ballast, which actually improves the driving experience, while anchoring power to the FEL. Although the on-line specs had the ROPS overall height exceeding my barn door, I am actually good to go, with over an inch to spare, possibly due to the ballasting. The standard mower deck cuts and discharges beautifully, even at 2,500 RPM, and distributes clippings much better than my old Cub Cadet mulching mower. I will never again own a mulching mower, due to its tendency to harbor a compacted, almost cemented mass under the deck, that accumulates very quickly with healthy grass. I am most impressed by its extremely light fuel consumption. After a full 10.5 hours of use, I filled it to the top with just 4.2 gallons. The fuel gauge on mine is very precise, contrary to report of one reviewer. I've had few occasions where I required more power than it delivered at my usual working RPM of 2500, which I'm using as max during break-in. The machine reeks of power, even at idle. I concur with one reviewer that it's rear hitch plate is rather useless, but given the fact that any number of 3-point hitches can be purchased that will actually perform better for pulling carts, it's a rather non-issue. For those who desire to use the mounting plate, I suggest a nice Reese-style hitch receiver that can be simply mounted via a flat plate and four bolts, and is available for less than $90.00 or can be made in ten minutes by any welder from a $30.00 receiver and 4x4" plate steel. The power of the machine is absolutely awesome, lacking nothing. The 4WD and turf tires cannot be beat for over-all use, in my estimation. They float well on sand, and have fabulous traction on grass, while they are universally considered tops for snow, performing like the best off-road tires. While they might be less than ideal for strictly gardening use, plowing, and pulling implements in heavy muck, I would not hesitate to recommend turf tires for most uses around the house. As for the engine, it's magnificent! I've heard lots of diesels, but this one has that wonderful start-up sound reminiscent of a WWII PT boat, that makes 23 HP sound like something---"Kathrummmm!". Any engine that sounds that classy has to be great. Controls are superb. I really like the forward-reverse pedals, mounted just as they are, forward and back. Very logical, and extremely easy to adapt to. The re-positioning of the brake pedal to the left for this year, and the higher steering position is just right. The seat has very good travel, and the seat-back adjusts for any angle, even forward of vertical, for those who tend to lean forward, and need support. Back support and armrests make life atop the machine very nice. I'm 6-3" and my wife is 5-1", and we each find the entire setup extremely comfortable. The machine is extremely well-built. I know machinery, and this is certainly above-par compared to anything else in its class... no, nothing is in its class! The front axle is fabulously hardy, and all chassis assemblies are heavily welded of extremely strong and heavily dimensioned steel. Those requiring the three point hitch, take note that it's a full category I rated hitch, as compared with Deere's Limited Cat. I. Though subcompact in size, this is a real, working tractor, designed for serious use, and not an upgraded lawn tractor sporting plastic fenders and a substandard 3-pt hitch that's far overpriced, with someone else's Yanmar engine under the plastic hood. As far as value is concerned, my investigation of the Kubota BX2370 compared to machines of similar size, revealed a machine that's far more substantial, and at a much lower price point. In fact, after the current 0% financing, combined with a $1,500.00 Kubota rebate, my machine with 60" deck and front end loader, and ballasted rear tires, came to just $13,900, with free delivery from 80 miles distant. I was totally unimpressed with the Deere offering that came to $21,000, complete with empty tires, plastic fenders and hood, and what I perceive to be a rapidly-shrinking consumer interest in the color green for what they deliver these days.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Lack of extended drawer bar mounting provision.

BX2370 Kubota
Excellent Tractor
Model Year: 2014

I purchased third tractor with a front loader and a scraper blade from Coia implement sales in Ravenna, Ohio. I cannot say enough good about the quality of service and meticulous instruction on the proper maintenance and care of my new tractor. Coias is a first rate dealer. As for the tractor, it is a great machine. I do not have a lot of time on it yet, but it has plenty of power and functions flawlessly. The front loader has plenty of power and will lift a full bucket of wet dirt with no problems. Has awesome four wheel drive with differential lock and when in low range it has more power than I will ever need. I compared it to a similar John Deere and the Kubota has several options that the Deere does not. The main reason for me was that the front axle on the Kubota is rated at 450 pounds more capacity than the 23 hp John Deere and since I will be using the loader a lot this was what sealed the deal for me. I have no regrets it's a great machine.

Pros: Fair price packed with options and quality.
Cons: None so far.

BX2370 Kubota
Great Machine, but Not Kubota's Best
Model Year: 2013

I use the 2370 primarily for landscape maintenance around the homestead of the farm---mowing with the 60" MMM, small-cart hauling, and running a small PTO-driven chipper/shredder. Good turn radius for a sub-compact, excellent traction on hills (thing's practically a mountain goat), and very handy for smaller jobs. Even good for maintaining fence rows and hedgerows. MMM is easy to detach/re-install. Three issues any potential buyer should know: The throttle lever on mine did not hold position from the start (less than an hour after delivery). Called the dealer and he said to just tighten it. It loosens up after a very short time. I installed a flared nut and lock washer, and got a thin-profile linkage wrench to tighten, but it still works loose every 4 hours or so. There is a hydraulic-system cooling fan on the underside of the chassis that is made of plastic and is not very well protected and is even less easy to replace (the machine has to be disassembled to get to the fan). Even with the mower deck installed, the fan is vulnerable to breakage from sticks and etc. Those looking to use it as a true utility tractor should invest in a skid plate as insurance (shame on Kubota for not protecting that fan better and/or making replacing a broken fan so difficult and expensive). The "draw bar" is just a typical plate up under the rear-end, and as such is both hard to reach and too far forward to allow for reasonable turning. The factory hitch plate is essentially useless for real equipment such as trailers, carts, etc. I bought a hefty aftermarket receiver hitch that fixed the problem, but Kubota should include something usable at purchase. The machine tends to overheat rather quickly in tough mowing conditions (tall grass, heavy thatch, etc.), even in mild temperatures. Kubota should put in a better radiator and cooling system, especially given the price-tag for such a tractor. Overall, I am satisfied with the BX2370, but think it requires quite a bit more tinkering and TLC than a brand-new Kubota tractor should. The hydro-fan vulnerability is a very serious issue, to the level of being recall-worthy.

Pros: Powerful, great traction on hills, versatile.
Cons: Hydro-fan vulnerability, slippy throttle, useless hitch plate, overheats.

I don't have may hours on this machine yet, but so far I am very impressed with everything about it. I've only used it for mowing at this point but just purchased a 48" box blade and 48" brush cutter for some spring maintenance.

Pros: Excellent steering and ride-ability.
Cons: Turnbuckles on 3 point hitch could definitely be beefier.

BX2370 Kubota
New Kubota BX2370
Model Year: 2014

I have 10 acres to keep mowed in the mountains of North Carolina---several very steep slopes. I had been mowing most of it with a John Deere lawn tractor and the steeper hillsides with a self-propelled Honda push mower. Even pushing the hillsides was dangerous--- not to mention VERY hard on me. So by chance, I saw a Kubota in use by a crew of workers here in Asheville and noticed that it had a 4WD emblem on it and I immediately began researching it because I needed that 4WD to make my life easier. I compared the BX series to the similar products that John Deere offered. In the end, Kubota won out---in large part because of the customer service I received at the Kubota dealership that is less than 7 miles from my house (the staff there is incredibly friendly and helpful. At the John Deere dealership I went to, I was NEVER offered help the entire time I was on the property and I was the only customer there at the time. Plus, Deere runs several thousand dollars higher, yet Deere quality is not what it used to be. My BX2370 performs incredibly well. The diesel engine gives me awesome torque and power while sipping fuel. The 4WD gets me up every single hill here with ease and all things together, including the 60-inch mowing deck, help me get an incredible amount of work done quickly and safely. I love it!

Pros: Diesel engine for torque and fuel economy, 4WD, power steering.
Cons: Radiator MUST be blown off frequently if being used in dusty conditions. Not a huge problem, but I nearly overheated the tractor before I figured that out.

BX2370 Kubota
Great Little Tractor
Model Year: 2013

I have 1.5 acres to work. This a great little tractor for what I need; runs my brush hog, tiller and other implements great. Had to adapt a couple of implements due to ground height and spread of the 3 point arms. 23 hp diesel has plenty of power power steering and the operator station is very roomy.

Pros: Kubota makes a great product.
Cons: None.

Just Took Delivery of My New Kubota BX 2370
Model Year: 2013

I finally took the plunge and bought one. It has been a brutal winter here, north of Barrie Ontario. Thanks for all the valuable info at Tractorbynet. I was a little more informed and confident when I made this purchase. The 50" (not heavy duty model) blower eats through ice and snow effortlessly and traction is great, even blowing up hill with the turf tires. One minor "beef": a linkage connected to the AUX valve (up/down) is bent. My guess is the overly long AUX valve lever was hit in shipping or assembly. I am so tempted to cut off 3" and re-thread the lever end.

Pros: So many features, great performance, looks very well made.
Cons: Lever (mentioned above). Changing attachments is a little involved. I may just need some practice.

Waiting for My First Kubota
Model Year: 2013

I have just purchased the BX 2370 with 'FEL', 60" mmm and front mounted 50" snow blower. The recent weather is helping to smooth over the 'sticker shock'. Specs tell me the ROPS will not fit in the garage in up position. One negative review said it takes 10 minutes to fold ROPS. Why? I will post again when I receive my new baby! Thanks for all the interesting reading, and Happy New Year, Peter

Pros: Will post soon.
Cons: Will post soon.

BX2370 Kubota
It's Really Too Heavy
Model Year: 2013

I had a couple of reasons to trade in my GR2100 for the BX2370. 1. The GR2100 always struggled climbing the hill in front of my house. 2. I ended up having to replace the clutch pack connected to my mower. There was less than 200 hours on it and it still cost me over $800.00. I was told I would probably have more problems and it would be very expensive. So, I purchased the BX2370 and it immediately solved my climbing problem. I had to go with the 54" mow deck because with the 60" deck it would not fit on my trailer. Unfortunately, there is a side problem. The BX2370 weighs 500 pounds more than the GR2100. The hill in front of my house never completely dried out due to unusual wet weather during 2013 in West Virginia. There is a small section on the hill that can't support the 1500 pound BX2370. I actually scared myself when she slid down the hill and just came up short of hitting my workshop.

Pros: Will tackle any hill on my property (except 60 degree hill behind my house).
Cons: Too heavy for a small section of hill in front of my house.

Nice Tractor: A Huge Step From What I Had
Model Year: 2013

So far I'm happy with my decision on this 2370. 60" mower and loader. Love the 4WD. saves the hassle of weights and chains with snow. Had an Ingersoll 4020PS: good for what it was, but his Kubota is much better. We'll see about the mower this spring. So far, so good.

Pros: Convenience, traction, good deal.
Cons: None to report yet.

BX2370 Kubota
Finally Got a Real Tractor!
Model Year: 2013

I'd been trying to manage our small property with a John Deere riding mower (23 HP)---using it for many things it wasn't really designed for. Did an adequate job but clearly had pushed it way beyond reasonable. When I turned 66 I decided that I deserved a real tractor. Between costs and features, the Kubota BX 2370 was perfect. Don't need a backhoe, but front loader, belly mower and box blade are essential. Similar John Deere and Mahindra were more expensive/fewer features. Only problem I've had is that the parking brake has gotten real loose and the cruise doesn't work anymore. I think it's a minor adjustment but surprised to have any problems this soon (less than 50 hrs). The Kubota dealership (Navasota, TX) was excellent from the sales perspective. Haven't been back for service yet but have no reason to believe that won't be great as well. Will update as time goes on.

Pros: Price, features, design, durability.
Cons: Cheap seat, needs a place to mount a toolbox.

Model Year: 2013

The ultimate back saver. Just big enough to grade the drive way, mow the 3 acres of lawn, and spread gravel. Yet small enough for my wife to use while gardening. She calls it her wheelbarrow with an engine.

Pros: Nimble with just enough power.
Cons: My sons are asking to borrow it.

Was everything I expected and more. I have front loader and box blade and it operates flawlessly.

Pros: She is a workhorse.
Cons: Have to remove cover to attach sprayer to battery.
