Iseki TS1910
Model Year: 1978
I bought this tractor primarily for the loader feature. It also came with a Shredder and a Box Blade. When I was looking, the small tractor/loader market was fairly dry so when I found this I jumped on it despite of it needing lots of TLC. I really do not believe the previous owner even owned a grease gun. This poor tractor was starved for repairs and maintenance. There was no battery, no brakes and the seat was rusted almost completely away. The tractor has a single stage clutch so running a shredder without an over running clutch is probably the reason the brakes were gone. My first purchases were a battery, new seat and an over running clutch. After this I repaired the brakes and greased every joint and bushing on the tractor. I replaced a few bearings ( front wheel and brake shaft). Since the initial refurbing, I have had virtually no problems. Is it perfect, by no means it is but, it starts every time, does all tasks asked and is a very handy tool to have around. To summarize, I really like this tractor.
Pros: Low initial investment price. Even though I knew I had some maintenance issues, I knew I could do them myself.
Cons: Little things like gear noise (could have always had these), hard to mount, single stage clutch.
