B7800 Kubota
Great Tractor
Model Year: 2008

I traded from a Kubota 7500 narrow to this tractor to get the loader. I was also happy with the narrow it did what I asked of it very well. This is a all around great tractor, I am impressed with what it is capable of doing. I use it to do road gravel maintenance, some mowing, some tilling, pull a 8'disk for small field and we use it for some job-site clean-up, dumping into a dump trailer. I like that it is compact enough to get into small areas, but heavy enough to do serious work. I had the tires loaded which helped with loader work & traction. I'm very satisfied with this tractor, kind of wish this was the first tractor I bought, however the narrow tractor was better getting through the x-mas trees. The only drawback is the 1/4 inching 3-pt, the position control on the narrow was easier to use but a person gets used to the 1/4 inching 3-pt.

Pros: Compact, yet fully capable.
Cons: 1/4 inching valve on the 3-point.

Good and Reliable Machine
Model Year: 2006

I am more than satisfied with this tractor, especially in the coldest winter weather. It starts so easy and quickly compared to other diesels I have had. The four cylinder engine is rugged, smooth, and fairly quiet. The hydrostatic transmission has three ranges, and is smooth, and the speed ranges give a wide assortment of choices. The tractor was purchased new, with the Kubota front end loader, and I purchased a Woods post hole drill from the tractor dealer. Before we sold our farm, I dug every post hole by hand in mostly heavy ground. I love this tractor and implements. I would not hesitate to recommend Kubota.

Pros: Engineering, design, build quality, control layout, transmission.
Cons: I have not found something worth complaining about.

After having several Fords from 2N to 960 I saw this tractor at the local dealer. It is the perfect size for a Christmas tree farm and for general light farm use. Since buying it I have never suffered from buyers remorse, that feeling where you ask yourself, Why did I spend all that money on a new tractor? Of course I do miss having an old Ford, but really this is 10 times the tractor. It is what those idiots at Ford should be building now, perhaps in the St Paul, MN plant instead of closing it.

Pros: Live power, live hydraulic, single pedal effortless forward/reverse.
Cons: Single probelm to date was sticking forward /rev pedal which was hard to diagnose.

B7800 Review
Model Year: 2007

I have used this tractor for a little of everything. I have a small business which includes firewood, brush hogging, small landscaping projects, and plowing neighborhood driveways in the winter. I also use it to maintain 119 acres with pastures. I put a 3 point hitch winch that can pull over 7000 pounds on it and have done over 500 face cord of firewood with it. I bush hog 40 acres a year and plow multiple driveways each winter and the hills here in north central PA are steep. Even leveled spots for 3 sheds and build a 100' driveway out of a side hill. Besides the winch and brush hog, I also run a 3ph log splitter. put the clamp on forks on the bucket and I move round bails and lift pole wood to block up for fire wood. with almost 800 hours on it, I have had almost no problems. Line near three point hitch leaked around 100 hours and that was probably due to me ramming to pull a pine tree up hill; dealer was more then happy to fix it. Would buy again and again, but probably will never have to.

Pros: Excellent for its size. Tough, durable.
Cons: Headlights are bad, a little tippy on side hills, radiator fills up with seed heads when running through the tall fields bush hogging.

A Work Horse
Model Year: 2007

I use this tractor like a big farm tractor because my old Ford 2000 broke down. I brush-hog pasture and steep hills in West Virginia with a 5ft brush hog. Its small enough that I can take it through young wooded areas and cut down brush higher than the tractor's canopy (a nice add on). The HST combined with the easy power steering makes it easy for the wife to jump on and mow 5 acres of grass with a 5ft finish mower. I put rear chains on the R4 tires and plowed 24" snow with a 72" scraper. I use the FEL to dig ditches, level patios, haul boulders so big they barely fit in the bucket. With 4WD and diff lock, I only hung up once and it was a swamp. My only complaint is stability across hills. Its a narrow tractor and extensions are not recommended. Even with all tires filled, the only safe way is up and down. HST allows you to go at your own pace. I have done all the maintenance myself which is very easy. I recommend this tractor, but I do need a big farm tractor to use larger implements implements.

Pros: Good power, easy to use, reliable.
Cons: Stability across hills.

Why Kubota
Model Year: 2008

Seeing this tractor at the dealer caused me to get a tape and measure the width. 56 inches total, perfect for Christmas tree farm use. Also, many other growers in the area are using them. It has performed very well with one problem, the forward reverse pedal was sticking and preventing starting. The problem was solved with help from tractorbynet and very little from the dealer.

Pros: Good power for size, narrow track.
Cons: Narrow track makes loader work chancy, use caution when carrying a load.

Indispensible Now
Model Year: 2005

We have a 10 acre u-pick fruit and berry farm with some nursery products and this tractor has been a perfect fit. Could not do without it. Has worked perfect with only one little repair, The starter relay which took one minute to put a new one in. The dealer was awesome, 3 years after I bought it, I called to ask about the no start problem and he advised me and sent the relay and an ignition switch and said "just send back whichever one isn't the problem. How nice was that! Hss and oversize quicktach fel, forks, rototiller and 4 foot finish mower,

Pros: Everything about it.
Cons: My knee kept turning the lights and turn signal on, so I rototooled it of smooth and no more problems.

B7800 Kubota
Kubota Exceeds Expectations
Model Year: 2005

Purchased my Kubota 30 hp with combination tires, a loader, box scraper, and 3 pt mower to care for my 25 acre estate. Last winter I added a 5' snowblower in order to take care of my hilly 1/4 mile long driveway. Without a cab, and on a windy day I do get a lot of snow blowing back into my face, so whenever I can, I blow with the wind. I have chains for the rear tires during the winter. I keep it in a heated garage when it gets into the single digits or colder, because the hydraulics for the bucket didn't work storing it in the cold shed. It has all the power I need, and is very dependable. I use it for maintaining my gravel driveway, mowing 5 acres of lawn, landscaping projects, and keeping the woods maintained. It's narrow enough to get between trees to make trails for 4 wheeling. At times I could use more weight on the front tires, especially with the 3 pt mower raised, and when I use the box scraper I have to have the loader on the front to counter-balance, and keep the front tires on the ground for traction. I haven't had a mechanical problem to date. I highly recommend Kubota.

Pros: Quality, stability, reliability, and small size with high power output.
Cons: Levers catch on my shorts when dismounting, inadequate headlights.

Kubota B7800 for sale or trade, I don't like it.
Model Year: 2006

The dealer stripped the bolts when they mounted the 6 foot belly mower and hid it from me. They stalled me until now it is out of warranty and they won't fix it. It has no warranty.

Pros: Hydrostatic drive.
Cons: Deck falls off, wheels fall off, no warranty & they know they did it.

Overall A++
Model Year: 2008

I have owned an L3010 and the disastrous BX1850, but this tractor has been really great. I wish it had more horse power at the same weight, but no tractors made today equal the old JD955's. I keep this guy in my garage next to the air conditioner and heaters in the surround sound home theater. I spoil it worse then my dog! It returns the favor every time I use it. I work it hard on a very steep hill-and while I could use an extra 3 or 4 HP at the PTO, overall it is just a tough tractor that impresses everyone who sees it in action. While I use the FEL 90% of the time for every day everything applications, my favorite application is the MMM. The B7800 is very practically designed and fun to use. I strap on radio head phones an mow the earth! Buy one and chances are you will love this guy!

Pros: Fits just right!
Cons: Could use 2 or 3 more HP at the PTO then it wuld be perfect!

Very Nice Little Tractor
Model Year: 2007

This is a great little tractor. I have a back hoe, front end loader, box scrapper, read blade, front snow blower, post hole driller 12 in. and a 60in. bush hog . This thing has serious power for a small tractor it carries 2000 lbs in the front bucket "200 gallon drum" In the winter I put on the front blower, put v-chains on the back and cat studs in the front tires and you can delete the word stuck (and the word that rhymes with it) from your vocabulary--I clear 2 kms of driveways and 5 kms of winding trails. Did I mention the heated cab? I wear a t-shirt. This thing will pull my 60 in.bush hog up a 30 deg hill munching 3/4in. sapplings. As it goes, the back hoe is good. If your dealer tells you one guy can put the backhoe on in 10-15 min. (like mine did) he is a liar. They sent a factory-trained tech and a salesman (because apparently I'm an idiot) 45 min. later and a broken finger they left. My back-hoe still sitting on the lawn. Don't let that scare you, it goes on and off, but it takes some planning, level ground, and some patience if you are going to swap three point stuff. Get a "quick hitch" worth it's weight in gold. Ok you get it, I love this tractor, but the lights are totally useless, only to be out done by a totally useless charging system. Both things are easily fixed for a couple of hundred dollars. Hydro static drive and brake pedals on the same side make differential steering with the brakes all but impossible but the tractor is very maneuverable and the power steering is perfect. The three point blade is okay for light snow and loose gravel but not much else. The box scraper is an awesome tool. It will give you bulldozer like qualities for digging and pushing dirt and great leveling and grading abilities

Pros: power full, maneuverable, easy to operate, & fun to drive.
Cons: Lights alternator (charging system) , brake pedals and hydro static on the same side.

My Little Orange Tank
Model Year: 2003

This is the first tractor I have owned. I have a Front End Loader, Backhoe, landscape rake, rear blade, brush mower, belly mower, boom sprayer and dethatcher. This machine does anything I ask and it is strong. I use this machine for everything. I have been thoroughly impressed. The only thing I wish this machine had was rear hydraulic ports.

Pros: Strong. Versatile. Reliable.
Cons: No rear hydraulics.

I wanted a Deere, but this was perfect for 8 acres.
Model Year: 0

The deciding factor was the 6' mid mount mower ILO 5' only with Deere at the time. 6' rear blade could use chains for snow. The hydrostatic trans is a real plus for my 12" post hole digger when you get stuck or are in rock. I welded brackets on the bucket and used (4) 8', 2 X 4's to lift trusses to build my barn. Had to buy a toothbar to dig in clay/rock. Have a 48" tiller, hardly breaks a sweat. I need it for counterbalance when lifting something heavy. Have industrial tires, no fluid. front tires cut a little when tight turning while mowing. I'd buy it again. Wish I had a back hoe.

Pros: 6' mmm mower with lots of power.
Cons: Mower wheels are high priced, it only lasted 4 seasons, and the joystick rattles.

This is a perfect for 8 acres of multipurpose use
Model Year: 2006

7' Mid mount mower--I wore out 5 of the tires. front commercial tire cut turf when turn sharp. High lift--awesome HST--awesome 4' rototiller--awesome 7' rear blade--I really need chains for snow plowing, but no room to put them on. 12" post hole digger--really could use some down pressure but can use the HST and move back and forth to get through shale

Pros: Has enough HP to do anything
Cons: Tires wear out on the MMM and cost $80 each

Pretty Nice Small Tractor
Model Year: 2004

Use this weekly on an 11 acre hobby farm (Horses). Does a great job pulling a finishing mower, arena drag (To smooth riding arena) and spreader. 4 WD is powerful and the added front bucket hauls a lot. I wished I had opted to go a bit bigger with even bigger tires, as I have been bogged down in deep (2ft or more) mud. Paid $15k used (34 hours almost brand new) including front bucket and Woods finishing mower.

Pros: Dependable, compact, good ag tires
Cons: Gas tank hard to work on (Got debris inside and had to take gas lines off twice)
