zetor 5211
My Zetor 5211,, been good, except now. When bushhogging my lever tries to move forward and kick out of gear. Thought it was detent pin and extended spring about 3/16, nut under spring, but didn't help. Pulled off the top of trans and no wear anywhere, looks good. I finished the field holding the leaver in place with foot, but when in heavy grass it tries to kick out of gear, anyone got answer??
Thanks
roger

Oh, I kind of new to this, computer iliterate, hahah, and trying to figure out how this works. I live in Ky, and retired from railroad and just doing what i like to do the best, tinker. and keep things working as they should. Don't know how i ever had time to work. Anyway forgive me if i don't know what i doing, but i trying. Thanks roger

Welcome to TBN

I had a 5245 Zetor and it used to lock gears. One time I pulled the top of the transmission to unlock the gears and to install the Zetor fix kit but I didn't have the levels set exactly right when I put it back together.

Was fortunate to have a young Zetor mechanic a few miles away who would do house call after hours. He fixed it for me and it worked well ever since. Just sold the tractor 2 years ago to get an HST model due to medical problems with my clutch leg - tractor was a workhorse.

Maybe you could get a shop manual and check the lever settings - hope it is a simple fix for you.
