curious how many hours do you fella's have on your machine?
this worn adjuster bolt might be my problem and if the wear is extreme my be why my cut varies so much. i will check this out when i have time, my weekend cut was nothing i even want to look back on, it was perhaps the fastest one i have ever done.
i am close to 400 hours
10 bones a piece maybe buy 2 or even 4 so you can watch your progress and less set up time, now laying a perfectly level concrete pad is going to be a little more of a chore

Not exactly sure but right close to 700

The adjustment bolts on mine were worn with a different pattern on a couple different bolts and that's the reason I asked the dealer about them. Maybe the machine and deck come in separate and they put the deck on that the customer request. Maybe the mechanic then just grabbed 4-45 mm bolts and put it on but after looking at these closer and looking at a new one I just believe they wear. If I look at my bolts closely I can plainly see 2 separate wear patterns. I'm assuming one is from the original adjustment and the other is from the time I leveled it. I went looking for new bolts yesterday and they are hard to find in this area. They are 12mm 10.9 grade with 1.25 threads which is extra fine. I finally got a Fastenal to order them in and although the bolts weren't too expensive the shipping was! It's going to total about $10.00 and min. order of 5. I ordered a 5mm longer bolt than the stock as mine from the get go were bottomed out so this will allow a little more adjustment. They will be in today but other things have popped up so it'll have to wait till tomorrow to let you know.

If you are speaking about the gauges I don't know if that would work.?????

I finally got the new adjustment bolts in and I actually took a file and flattened the bottom out. Bolts usually come to a slight taper at the end so to make the most contact on the deck pins I took a slight bit off making them flat. I put them in in place of my old bolts then and the deck adjusted up real nice. I left the front of the deck 1/4" lower than the rear and I think this helped a lot. I think it help with the better discharge of grass and better dispersion of the cut grass. I had not cleaned the deck prior to this work so it had some prior build up. I them proceeded to mow 5 yards. 2 of which are large yards and 3 are normal sized yards. The grass is a little drier than last time I mowed so I'm sure this had some effect. I was very satisfied with the cut an finally getting the deck adjusted.

this for all those in the future
i found the issue, i have been chasing it all summer adjusting here and there and just living with the unsightly cut
i leveled the deck not the blades, i am not sure if it was just my machine or what but it finally leaves the same cut as it did new.
i parked on level ground and measured from the front corner of the deck to the ground and one side the deck was a full inch lower than the other, i adjusted the deck where both sides were equal (bringing the low side up) and got a great cut.
i used a 3" block of wood to measure the blade height, this was easier to me than buying a tool, however this method did not help my problem.
