z997 zero turn mower

hi guys, looking at a jd z997 ztrac mower. from your experience how do you remove the deck from the machine for adding a mulching kit or any other service that might be necessary? any other info concerning owning and operating a z997 would be helpful. thanks for your help............bud

A chain hoist is the easiest and cheapest. Lift the whole front of the machine.

^^ Thats what I do, only with my loader on the 2520. (now let me hide from the safety police)

Removing the deck would require alot of work. Removing the belt, disconnecting the hyd. cylinder, and removing the 4 bolts that attach the lift chains.

I dont have the mulch kit, but assume its a set of baffles that mount under the whole width of the deck.
