We did some hay with my father-in-law yesterday. His sheds are full, no more round bales will fit... an offhand comment about needing a square baler led to us borrowing my dad's baler... about 1000 bales hit the ground, 322 of which went on my truck and trailer, and in our barn. Horses are set....

Loaded up and ready to go. Did some yard work this weekend helping a friend out. His CUT loader can only lift about 1200 lb. so I took the forks w/thumb, bucket, and rear ballast. Moved several downed trees to brush piles and some large concrete chunks. Pushed the limits of my loader.

No worries, many straps used, never lost a bale. Made it off the hillside pictured, thru the creek crossing to get out of the field, and no issues on the 20 mile trip home. Only issue of note was truck trans temp getting close to the danger Zone, 200 to 210 degrees most of the way. 251 bales on the trailer, 71 on the truck... unloaded the truck last night, got off work early today to get the trailer unloaded into our barn. Thought we were done, wife told her dad we were going to help unload his ballance of the take into his barns! Yippee, 700 more to unload over the next few days, not to mention having to work late to make up for leaving early the past 2 days!

New tow rig for me! Found a left over 2015 Ram 2500 crew cab 4x4 Cummins today. It's a Tradesman package with lots of extras. Super happy and got an amazing deal. If anyone's interested they have 2 more just like it (black and cherry red).

I hope you like yours as much as I like mine. I have had mine for a little of a year. No issues and tows great.

I hope so too. This will be my third Cummins and sixth diesel overall, however it's my first new diesel and my first truly modern diesel. Definitely no comparison to my old '93 1st Gen or my '00 24v 2nd Gen Cummins trucks.

I know what you mean. This is my first diesel. I don't like complexity and these modern diesel trucks are complex. That said I asked a few people who work with RAM diesels in fleets and they report good things. My mechanic told me the RAM was the one he would pick.

Mine was no problem. In this picture I put it up there to work on it. Deck was all the way up on it which is normally what I do when not mowing.

That trailer is too small.

I have a 15 tundra. Moved from a 3/4 ton Duramax about a year an a half ago. Very pleased with it. Hauled our 28' travel trailer from here (central FL) to Bozeman MT last summer. Averaged 9.9 mpg for 7,000 miles. Hauled tractor to do some grading work for a friend this morning. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=473479"/>

Nice rig. Can you really drive that tractor onto the trailer with just those landscape ramps?
