Nice looking new rig (and old one for that matter)...congrats!

What engine did the '09 have in it, and how does the 6.2L compare?

Congrats on post #2500, we only got the new F-250 yesterday, and i havent seen or driven it yet, although i will probably do both later today. The old one was the 6.8L V10, with 4.10s and the new F-250 has the 3.73 rear end. Ill update this thread when we have some miles on the new one, and have pulled with it.

It will be interesting to here comparisons from the V10 to the V8. I've heard great things about the 6.2L, so hopefully it works out well for you.

Towed with this from OK to CA running 75 mph up all the passes on I 40. Cummins power with a few mods in my home shop including transmission that I build and BD torque converter.

Wow that's a nice shop!

Side note, pulled right around 20,000 lbs the other day with the 6.0L freshly BulletProofed and the mild (labeled 50 HP) tow tune... Very impressed. Had great power. Total rolling weight was 28760 (scales). No complaints right now :D

Not to derail this thread too badly but what sort of footer is under that job crane? Reason I ask is I have access to a nearly identical crane but have no footers in my slab.

Awesome shop, by the way!

It is 7' x 7' x 7' with two layers of #6 rebar on a 6" grid and the bolts are 6' long with plates on the bottom. I have more shop info on the Garage Journal.

7' deep, that's a heck of a footer but that crane with a load out at the would put a extreme amount of force on the attachment point.
Thanks for the info.

I can only imagine the diameter of the 6' long bolts....
