Yep... I have reduced peak demand cost a little by staggering equipment start times...

Once upon a time everything started at 5 am and the load reflected it.

Optional gen fire, instead of stringing ext cords, I find is a great way to motivate myself to get a run in.....

'ol Murph never sleeps, so it's hard to be too pro-active.....

Yep. See a couple areas on the fence that did not get as clean as I would like. So may fire things back up this weekend to touch up. The power washer really does not like extension cords anyway, it draws a good bit of power.

Next up is an oil and fuel filter change. Spark plug was changed in the fall as it had fouled up.

I also just got done scrubbing about 800 feet of 3 rail vinyl fence, but i use a gas power washer, vinyl fence cleaning solution and rags.... and lots of boring time. Have about 670 feet left to go

Yup definitely a good plan. Here’s my backup to my propane powered standby.

I chuckled when I opened an email from a lifelong friend who has moved to Tampa area. I guess he got tired of losing power in hurricanes and finally decided
to buy a generator. I told him great choice, it was the exact model I will buy once I move to PA, and then I gave him links to the exterior 50 amp outlet and the transfer box.
Learn a lot here
I told him to put a battery charger on battery twice a year(or a maintainer) and to only use non ethanol gas in it.
Amazon.com : Westinghouse WGen75 Portable Generator with Remote Electric Start - 75 Rated Watts & 95 Peak Watts - Gas Powered - CARB Compliant - Transfer Switch Ready : Garden & Outdoor

actually I intend to get the next larger model which puts a full 50amp out in one cord.

Lots of features at what I could see on Amazon for a price-point d.

Remote start is convenient.... guess those carbs are onboard RV gen style. Not sure about the larger one, but that 7500 has a dual-fuel model option.

"Bench-racing" a next portable generator, I somewhat lean towards either gasoline/propane, or fuel injected. Not remote-start out of the box, but this Generac seems to be a nice combination of FI and wattage (vs. $).....

Looks like they are putting CO detectors on 'em too.... A lot of the fun is in the looking :)
