If you have access to it, nothing beats AvGas for storage.

Sigh.....sadly, I don't.

Had a chat with somebody I work with, he used to fly, and wrench (certified) on light-planes, but he/I have no contact there today.

Cranked up the beast today. It gets the weekly exercise runs, but doesn't make power for those. I had a three or four hour outage a couple of months back, but no run under load since then. Flipped the main disconnect this morning to simulate an outage and let it fire up and switch over. Did that in about 20 seconds.

This UPS doesn't know the difference between Utility Power and Generator power though. It just knows AC voltage.

Gave it a work out using a bunch of hot water and running a few loads of laundry.

Ran it about three hours then switched back over to utility.

Not enough fuel usage to even notice

Not generators, but on a different topic.... Baffling Them with Heifer-Dust was mentioned @ work yesterday.....

W/O an oil pump, not doing much for heat exchange with Oil..... add pump, cooling jets under a piston can be useful, but I suspect that ad may have been a typo.

I think I posted it on here recently, a screenshot from SpaceWeather.com - AI quote, on their landing page. Described all the "stuff" AI is writing on the web, then went on to say "If you find a mistake on our website, rest assured it was done by a human". I liked that one.....

Computers are good @ making More Mistakes, Faster.....

Shopping @ Wally World today..... cashier had to print the lady in front of us a whole pile of gift-receipts, which seemed to confuse the new terminal they just got in. Standing there, watching food defrost, while she struggled to reset the terminal..... Supervisor had no better luck..... had to open another terminal/lane, for us to reload with our order.

Doesn't take grid-down, or another dramatic event, for things to grind to a halt.....

Not my favorite episode of the series, but honestly... even an average episode of that show was better than the best from many others.

The one where Edith was going thru menopause was probably the funniest one I can remember.
