Keep a few extra solenoids on hand for quick rouble shooting down the road should it be needed.

The fuel solenoid is 12v so I needed to use a 12v relay for the run signal. You are correct the controls do not know if the engine is running that is something we need to pursue fortunately the Yanmar starts like a first gen Cummins 1 turn & it’s running when it’s warm out. The oil pressure switch will be added later.
At least I have a system that works!

your pictures show a 24 volt relay.

to add the oil pressure switch. which would serve 2 purposes. disconnect " fuel" from number 30, attach it to common on the OPS, from normally open or no, wire to blue #30. wire from normally closed on the oil pressure switch to wire 8 in the harness. this requires wire 10 to have battery power.

this will serve 2 purposes, the oil pressure will actually indicate the engine is running. if the oil pressure fails for some reason, it will NC and tell the ags to shutdown.

you may have to play with the hold times to make sure the pressure comes up in time before it shuts off.

(your pictures show a 24 volt relay).
You are right I missed that. I have 12 & 24v relays on hand and picked up a 24v relay to show the schematic, both 12&24 v relays are wired the same.
Sorry for the confusion 🙄

I’ll add the pressure switch when I get some time.
Thank you 👍👍

Sounds like you're 90% there now, as you say with the way it's wired now, the controller thinks the motor is running even if it isn't. Oil pressure switch will sort that issue nicely. It will also serve to shut things down if it loses oil pressure while running.

10 Year Maintenance on Isuzu 12.5 kw, real gem bought from Central Maine Diesel. Never heard from them either by email, phone or fax. Got replacement fuel and oil filters locally at NAPA. Had a Donaldson air filter bought 9 years ago from CMD.

Done 28 June 2022

Note re next time: replace coolant, fuel and air filters and run engine to warm up oil first. Otherwise, it takes forever to extract the cold oil.

Put on Donaldson air filter bought 9 years ago from Central Maine Diesel. Replacement is WIX/NAPA 6449

Fuel filter: NAPA 3399 Need chain wrench to remove. Not room for any of the others.

Oil filter: NAPA 1334. The two filter NAPA wrench removes it.

Six quarts of M1 0w30 European C3 diesel and 1 qt of leftover Castrol 5w30 for VW TDI

Nearly a gallon of coolant comes out via the petcock on the south side of radiator. Block drain was way tight. Did not remove.

Cross-country (and Continent !) bench tuning...... Why I hang out here (y) !

Congratulations 90 on going Autorun. Nice for long Winter (outage) nights, or when the better-half is on her own.....

With your mechanical skills and that Yanmar, I'm sure it's in good shape. That said, we all learned vigilance re. Murphy long ago.... that oil Pswitch will be nice fail-safe.

Before I created my system I researched all the gens out there and concluded that the Isuzu was in my opinion the best of the best.

This past Sunday, calm summer day, a little on the hot side and the power goes "out". The utility has been doing a great job over the past few years tree trimming so it must be a car/pole/stupid driver situation.
Got another 4 hours on the generator (just for the freezers)
....and someone did take out a pole. This time I opened up the building all I could with the temperature. No issues.
