Now I'm confused... you joined in 2005 and your Dad moved in 18 years later. Some quick math using all of my fingers and most of my toes tells me that he won't move in until 2023, or perhaps fall of 2022. o_O
No, my fault. Joined here in 2005, got married in 2003. My dad moved in with us around 2018, about 15 years after we got married (we bought our "new house" knowing he could move in with us, and we didn't realize it would take that long).

I should of stated "my dad didn't move in with us until 15 years after we were married".

It gets a little stranger per time line as our children didn't come to us by natural child birth due directly to either my wife giving birth or I as the "donor" at the time of their birth.

Why 2005 was a whole other world to me back then...

^^^^

It sounds like you cared for your kids the way that you did your dogs. 👍 Two of my brothers took in foster kids... they are better people than I am.

First post I could find for you on my end...

Is it possible you were a "lurker", joined up and never really posted? Not certain why I could find Thomas's first post but not your own?

Honestly, it's not "fun" on my end looking at peoples "first" posts here because it really doesn't mean antyhing to me other than seeing some guys who I rememeber who are no longer here.

See my post above. Why my own post actually kind of brought back memories.
Well Thai post was the same month that I joined, so if that isn't my first it's close enough. I'll dig into it a little more, maybe on my PC.
Thanks for taking a look for me.

It shows you joined Sept 18th, 2001.

That post that I posted shows a post date of July 28th, 2004. Close to 3 years later

Sometimes it's possible you join a forum, forget that you joined or you just read posts, and then end up coming back to and then posting a couple of years later after you joined.

My bad, you are correct. I'm gonna do some digging. Too much going on this afternoon.

Not a big deal.

Looks like the transistion to the new forum was in 2000.

Guessing anything before that date that won't be documented.

On a sidenote, know I know why I spell like I'm in 1st grade sometimes. 7th post down on the above link, they removed spellchecker! 🤣

Oldest internet forum I belong to is AR15.com, joined around 2000, I have a LOT less posts than in that forum than I do in this forum.

Does anybodys join date show earlier than 4-6-2000.
It shows my first post 5-24-2000 when I bought the L3650 but I had owned the the B2150 well before and was sure I had posted about it.
