Not when you don't live beyond your means! :p I paid off the mortgage on my first house at 33, and my second house at 47.
Congratulations. You are the exception.
I paid my first off at 39 yrs of age but I gave that one to the Ex.
This one cost way more than the first and ran 25 of the 30 year life.

I was 28 or 29.... but the house was only $20K. ;) That would still only be about $60K in today's dollars.

Fixerupper!

I paid off my mortgage when I was 40, it was the third house I owned. Built a new one at 50 and that took another two years to be free of payments. Then i got divorced and started over.

This one and only house I bought 45 years ago and paid off in 3 years but the interest was 14%. My Dad waited the entire 30 years paying his off because it was 4%. He said every time he went to the bank they begged him to pay it off early. The monthly payment was less than $25.

Built this house in '74, paid it off in '91 when I was 41. That included borrowing to pay off the ex after she left in '81. It was amazing how cheaply I lived after she was gone, except for paying support.

I'm old enough that I've never used Apple Pay LOL

Yesterday was the first time I've done it, but I've already got too many darn apps on my phone for work related items, so I just called the number.

That said, I probably took 10 minutes on the phone call typing in my plate number on how it's set up LOL
I ask my dentist to leave downtown… been going to the same office decades and this dentist number 4.

The reason is parking… $12 for dentist appointment and today found that the two closets meter kiosks have out of order signs… so risk a ticket when there is nothing I could do to be legal?

i remembered a private lot a block over and it is pay as you exit and attendant charge was $6… so no over spending on prepay.

Two things I never understood:

1. Anyone who likes to drink the same beer, day after day. I love a great burger, but I don’t want burgers every day!

2. Anyone who drinks cheap beer. It ain’t exactly health food. If you’re going to be abusing your liver, you should at least enjoy it!

My inventory is always changing, but always some more interesting quality brews:

Don't you have to drink all that within say, 60 or 90 days to preserve freshness and taste? :)

My FIL was a legendary Pennsylvania working man beer connoisseur and drilled that message into me.
