I recently purchased a YM276D with a FEL and Backhoe. The person I bought it from was the second owner, used it for landscaping and didn't think it had ever had the backhoe off before or the three point used. I removed the backhoe this week and bought a three point kit. The three point is on now but it will not move up. I can grab the bars and move them freely up and down. I have turned the slow return valve both directions with no change in operation. Any ideas? Is it possible the three point was disabled when the backhoe was installed and if so how do I enable it again?

Here is a picture of my valve front, this look normal?

FEL works great.
Backhoe worked great.
Backhoe ran off it's own hydraulic setup, PTO driven.

zracer,

I'll take a stab at your questions

I'm no expert but the last picture shown seems to bypass the complete 3PH setup. Since the back hoe had its own hydraulic supply and powered by the PTO, perhaps someone has inadvertently shut down the hydraulic flow by putting the high pressure and suction/return line at the same port passage.

I'm also suspicious of the port closed next to your implement lock valve (red plastic cap) and shouldn't that be connected to a high pressure line?

In more generic terms...I think someone has provided a continuous loop so the pump won't 'dead-head' and for the FEL, bypassed the 3PH completely.

Here's your picture again...I don't completely understand the setup but it does look wrong to me:

Ideas to consider: Is the "headless - plug 'C', still in? This could be blocking the flow to the rear lift cyl. By removing the HP hose to your loader, look in the casting and you may see that the plug is still in place. It looks as if no hyd. oil is getting to the real cyl. I think that your shop pic's infer that the oil path is blocked with the 'C' plug in place. The threaded ftg. that is capped with the red cap will be removed and a plug fitted into the empty HP hole. After removal of the "c" plug you should be able to reinstall the ft. loader hp hose at the orginal mounting point. This total hyd. fluid sharing will slow down some functions when several are used at the same time. Again, this is just my take on the matter. Other members please chime in. Please keep us informed.

My advice is to have a hydraulics man look at. hydraulics while not that complicated (seeminly) can be very dangerous.

Looks to me like there is only a return line( large line) to the pump. I don't see the (small) high pressure line at all. Unless, I'am missing something in the pic. Wait, Is that it on the other side ??

There are only two lines going to the pump, both on the left.

I removed the bottom hose, removed the internal allen screw plug. The loader now works only if the slow stop valve is closed. The 3 point will only go up if you have the lever in the up position and pull the loader up/down lever. Good news it's working, now to figure out the proper plumbing. The loader is now running slower than it used to as well.

My next guess is that the pressure line needs to "y" with one side going to the loader control, one side going to the control box for the 3 point.

Got the manual and I believe I can hook it up properly now. I do have another question though.

The "in" from the loader control is going under the tractor and mounted under the tranny on the left side. I don't find anything about this port in the owners manual or service manual. Do I just plug this line? Here's a picture, it is under the left side next to the four wheel drive selector.
