YM2301 Feed Back

From my previous post (incorrectly labeled YM1301) I now know that the 2301 is not a rare model, is like a 2310 with gear drive and has parts available.
The one I am looking at is for sale by a private party, has 57 hrs, they bought it from a private party and have had it for two years with no problems. The picture looks like a new (repainted) tractor with good tires.

It comes with a box blade. If I can get this for $3500 is it a good deal?

Anything I should look for when I go look at it?

if the meter is only showing 57 hours it is either broke or has been replaced.

Is it a 2310 or 2301? I never seen a 2301, not saying there isn't one but I haven't seen it.

If its the 2310 on craiglist listed in Blythewood then it is a recon, came from Rinehart tractor in Sally, SC. typical of him claiming it a 1998. I would pass on this one.

Which Elgin are you in? small community in Lancaster or what?

It's a 2301. They say they have had it 2 years and just used it to scrape their driveway. I am afraid it might be a VN rebuild but after 2 years or 57 hrs I guess any problems would have shown up and if it is OK now it should be OK for the future.
I am in Elgin, Kershaw Cty just outside Columbia.
