YM2000 Hydraulic Oil Filter

Removal and installation of filter is hindered by a centre plug which I have assumed can be removed and used as a greasing point. There are also grease nipples either side. However the shape of the plug leads me to think that there may be fluid behind it. I need to remove this to install new filter. Thoughts please. Al

Put a pan or a bucket underneath the bolt, and unscrew it; it looks like it's meant to be a drain plug anyway.

Shouldn't be any fluid in there unless a seal leaking. That is #42 on this clutch housing drawing. Yanmar Tractor Parts: CLUTCH

Thankyou Now that I know what it is about I can keep an eye on it. About one and a half tablespoons came out.
