Folks, I've decided to get a new battery for my YM2000.

The old one is shot and I want to see if I've fixed the hydraulics this weekend.

My manuals are down the farm with the tractor[150miles away].

Can anyone help with specs, cca's, AH's etc?

Whoopsie, my bad.

I did a search and found lots of old references.

1000cca's should do.

I should think so. I use the 550 CCA battery that I moved over from my 99 Subaru. Its at 8.5 years and still starts it fine. (But I leave the trickle charger on it when I know it won't be started for 2 weeks or more. Old batteries are claimed to self-discharge when not used for a long time).

The manual says 75 AH. (I just looked) and I think there is a written spec for 500 or 550 CCA but I can't find it right now.

Can you post a link to the references you found?

What sort of climate are you in?

Hi California.
I just did a search on the home page for "battery" and came up with a few.

The farm is just outside of Warwick on the Darling Downs in Queensland Australia.
Winter nights get down to -10C with daytime temperatures up to 18C.
Summer nights down to 18C and days up to 40C.
No snow and not enough rain for the last 10 years.
We've got 11 acres of river front black soil flats.

I figure a 600cca battery with a solar trickle charger should keep me out of trouble.
The boss just proof read and she agrees.
