Well I now have the parts manual that FIL found - the very nice people at Hoye tell me that the piston in the hydraulic pump that i may need (if i destroy it in trying to remove it) is no longer avail. It looks like the dealer in Shelby, tn has the entire assembly for "the low k-mart price" of $279 but at least the machine is not (at this point at least) destined for the "parts yard"
