I have just purchased a little YM155D after a lot of searching and am very pleased with it. So far the only gripe I have is if you are driving along whatever implement you have will drop with you... in other words you have to keep raising the implements every minute or so or it will drop with you. Is this low hydraulic fluid or something and if so where do I fill it up?

Welcome to TBN for all your Yanmar information needs. :D

Your tractor probably has 2 screw in valves under the seat. One in under the front of the seat and one under the right side. You can make a test to see if the problem is either the hyd cylinder, or the valve. The valve under front of the seat is a block so that you can neither raise nor lower the 3 pt with this valve closed. Test: Raise the 3 pt with a load to full height and close this valve. If the implement drops significantly after a few minutes then the problem is the seals on the piston in the 3 pt. (There is actually a measured standard, but I do not know what it is.) [Or the problem could be an o-ring between the top cover and the hyd cylinder, but highly unlikely.] If the implement does not drop significantly (like you have experienced) then the problem is likely in the 3 pt control valve and for that there is not much that you can repair. There are a couple of o-rings between the valve body and the top cover, which is a possibility.

Maybe that will give you something to look for anyway. Again welcome to TBN and post some pics of your tractor when you get a chance.

Mike

Thanks for the information I will check it out tomorrow night. That gives me something to work with. I will try to get some pictures of my little green garden machine posted out there. I just bought it two weeks ago along with a plow (potato digger) turning plow, disc and cultivator. I have used it cultivating and it works great. So far the only problem I am seeing is the slight leaking down on the hydraulics. Thanks again for the post

I have the same problem with my YM155D. It is the control. In my case the control doesn't have any reaction force or friction so while I drive the lever slowly bounce and eventually drops the 3-point. It is very frustrating, I think that the o-rings in the control are worn.

I had the same problem in my 155D when i first got it. I could stand on the 3pt and it would drop slowly. Turned out to be an simple o-ring...
