Looking for a wiring diagram for my YM1500 .
When my son whent to start the tractor the battery was down and would not turn the engine over fast enough to start When he released the compression lever (engine stoped turning). He hooked up the jumper cables to jump start it and the "smoke god" escape under the dash at the voltage regulator wire,and burnt the insulation off . Probabley hooked up backwards (not me syndrome), but he said no , probabley been done more than once in its life. Also has not been keeping battery charged the last couple of times we used it ,we had cleaned the cables at the battery a few weeks ago when it did not start. Need to trace down the wire to see where it goes and what it hooks up to.
Has any one changed out the alternator to a high amp one?
