ym135d waterpump

hello folks, was wondering if anyone out there had a ym 135,mine which I bought new in about 1985, does not have a waterpump,never did,- in the frist few years of its' service it would overheat well as time went onit got worseto the point that it has not been ran much . Is there a water pump,for this engine,there is a plate behind the alternater that is in the water jacket,or an inline electric one,---thanks

I hva never heard of a waterpump for that model, however the only way it can get worse is through lack of maintenance. Have you flushed the cooling system, cleaned the radiator fins, make sure fan belt is tight, etc. and use no more than 25% antifreeze.

I read the other day about a brain chemical that helps old brains but until that comes out all I can tell you is that there has been a lot written here about thermosyphen systems and keeping them from overheating. I seem to remember something about someone who added an electric pump. Reading past posts is well worth it unless like me you can't recall all the details /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
