Once EBay notices it being posted, they'll kill the ad. Yanmar's lawyers have them bluffed. I've been the high bidder on two Yanmars before and they killed the ad before the end of the auction. Good luck, looks like a decent tractor, would make a good restoration project.

I'm curious why would Yanmar's lawyers contact eBay to have a tractor auction cancelled?

I have seen many fictitious tractor and other related products pulled down from the site to protect others from fraud.

Take a look at the Yanmar Lawsuit thread.

And note that Yanmar is only going after US importers/sellers of gray market (Japan domestic models) imports.

Their US models that they sold here 20~30 years ago including this YM240D are considered legitimate and are still supported by their Authorized Parts network here. And are allowed to be sold on Ebay. See Yanmar-USA's website for a list of US version Yanmars.
