I found a 2wd YM 226 w/ ROPS in good condition with 541 hours on the meter. The tractor comes with a bushhog
(minus the shaft) for $ 3950.00.
The tractor is located in Louisiana. I plan to go and test drive the tractor this week. Does this seem like a reasonable price?

Depending on what you call "in good condition". That is a baby with only 541 hours.....can I say....take your cash with you /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well bought a 226 2wd with 300 hrs a few years ago for $4500 including a couple of implements. Bought a 226d 4wd the year after that of E-bay for $4300 with 300 hrs on it , It ended up being a rental unit with probably 4300 hrs on it . Unit had a rough life obviously, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started working on it , for however abused this unit was, how little wear and tear there was on the main tractorparts (everything but the wear items was in great shape). These things are built to last!! Parts are not a problem, have not found anything that was not readily available from Yanmar (phonecall away) I would say take cash and a trailer and go for it. This of course providing that everything is in good working condition. If it has been sitting outside for the last 20 years and is full of water I would say no, but more than likely , with 500 hrs on the clock, it is not even broke in yet
