Tractor
YM2000
I am a new owner of a ym2000. So far this has been a great tractor! I do have one concern , When I go from a medium rpm up to a high rpm the tractor puts
out some smoke while it is going up in rpm. Once it get to the higher rpm the smoking stops. Is this something to worry about? Thanks for your help.:)

Yes, it is black. Thanks for the help.

When my F935 starts doing this, it means my air prefilter is full of dust.

When my YM 2000 gets bogged down it will briefly blow some smoke but not for long and very little. I agree it may be time for a air fliter and go ahead and check the fuel filter while your at it.

exactly as I would've put it. My 169D only smokes when i bog it down, especially with PTO implements. it shouldn't smoke without load though.

My YM1700 did it every time I throttled up. But went away as soon as RPM reached it's level.

when i throttle up i grt smoke, cant really remember the color, black though i think maybe a little oil smoke? When i am bushogging and really bog the tractor down and the governer opens up to try to keep the motor running it will start putting out black smoke till it catches up. I am a forester and i basically supervise loggers over almost 200,000 acres (so i quite a few crews working at most times). I see all types of logging equiptment everywhere from 25 years old to 2 weeks old. Most of this equiptment will roll smoke when it bogs up. The tracters when the drop a drag and another grapple full then throttle up will blow black smoke, sorry what we call tractors is probly what yall will call skidders. Black smoke under a load is normal for a deisel, ever seen a tractor pull?

Not to worry. Just some of the diesel fuel that didn't completely burn while you were throttling up.
