OK,

After many installs and uninstalls of the FEL, I had a problem yesterday. I keep my BX in a 20ft enclosed trailer and have found it relatively easy to install the FEL and BH. Yesterday, it just didn't go smooth and before I knew it, the FEL arms had extended over the floor board. I ended up backing the BX out and dragging the FEL. I dragged it about 50 ft until I was on the driveway. Then I noticed that the dragging bent the stand and the FEL wouldn't stand level. It took a while to get the FEL on but I finally got it. I took the stand off and was wondering if I should bring it to my buddies machine shop or just order a new one. I can't believe a new one would be over $50. I'm just worried if we straighten out the old one, is the metal compromised/

Just heat it and straighten it. The stand doesn't take that much stress to matter if the metal is hardened a bit from heating. It could be heated several times before anything of consequence would happen.

If it doesn't work out then you can think about replacement.

Agree with GWDixon. We were hooking up to our camper the other day and a friend who was with us, just picked up the ends like a wheel barrow and swung it over. There really isn't all that much stress on them.
