I would like to build a yard rake to windrow grass clippings and other debris so that I can pick them up with a yard sweep. What I have been planning is something like what Graetz Mfg has on their website (Metal Fabrication | Custom Chains, Sprockets, Gears & More | Graetz). What I have on my mind is to use the electric clutch off a mower deck to activate the rake, but what I am unsure of is what to use as the round discs on each end. I have thought about just using some disc bladed off of an old disc, just wondering if anyone here had built one or had any ideas about building one?

Thanks

I have seen the Estate Rake once or twice but they look like they might be built a little bit on the lightweight side. We raise hay, so I have some spare hay rake tines laying around that I could use to build one more like a the Graetz, I'm just not going to use an engine. If I can use an electric clutch I will, if not I will probably use some kind of friction drive system. Any thoughts?

The Graetz is ground drive off of the left wheel, I see no need for an electric clutch.
