I noticed the Nippondenso starter and commented on it when I saw it in a picture Katahdyn posted about a block heater. Toyota has used them for a long time they will last twice as long as a direct drive starter if not longer. I agree that is probably why they dont have compression releases with such a stout starter.
Now I am wondering about that starter California posted earlier would fit mine? So far I am cranking ok but once it gives I would jump at the chance to go gear reduction. :thumbsup:
