yanmar thermostat

I have asked before, but no answers. so here it is. has anyone installed 8n ford inline water thermostat on yanmar? if so, how does it work? thx

I'm not convinced a thermostat is needed if Yanmar didn't provide one. This aint rocket surgery.

I'll bet the farmers in Japan just block part of the radiator with cardboard if they think it needs to be warmed up. Like the canvas radiator blinds you see on big rigs in winter.

Every gadget is one more thing to check and maintain, and I think the simplicity is why these things need so little repairs.

you are probably right. that is what I have been doing, with the cardboard. little bit of hassle. I keep losing the cardboard. thanks for input.
