yanmar shifting

I have a Yanmar 2210D that doesn't always shift in and out of reverse when power shift lever is activated. Their seems to be some slop in the linkage at the transmission. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

Start removing parts until you locate the source of the slop, then repair accordingly.
