Comparison Yanmar/john deere engine

I have a 336 Yanmar. I am looking for an engine short block. My engine is a
3T84 A-N. What other engine will go in place of it?? can reply to,

Number 3 rod let go, punched hole in the side above the starter.

Call Anna at Southern Global. They took in a 336D and it might have a good block in it.

You might try checking with Bruce Laten (member name "Bruce1966us" here on TBN), he stocks and sells a lot of Yanmar engines and is probably one of the largest sellers of used Japanese compact tractor engines around. I'd guess if anyone is going to come across one any time soon, chances are pretty good it would be Bruce (931)492-0316

that seems to be an extremely common problem on the 336, a leg out of bed or so to say. i have not looked up what engine is in a 336 but i know its a 3 cylinder. do any other models run that engine and do they suffer the same consequences? i would look at a 336 but seeing so many blown engine problems in them i think i will pass. i think i will keep on the F or FX path.(i just looked it up 3TN84A-N)

Where are you guy's finding this info on 3t84's blowing up commonly just curious? Mine is a 3t84t same engine just has a turbo.

The JD950 has a 3T90J , and the 1050 has a 3T90TJ (turbo)
The JD950,1050, and the YM336 all use the same crank and rods,and I wonder if they use the same block ???
