Just got my 2000 model last week and noticed these two small hoses under the seat. They seem to come out of the axle housing and are open-ended. Some sort of drain hose? Are they supposed to be joined together?

They are more than likely vent hoses. Check your owners manual to be sure but that is probably what they are.

They are an axle vent. No, they don't get connected together. Just end them under the seat and you are good to go.

Thanks for the info. I haven't received my manual on the tractor yet, but figured they were some sort of vent.
