I am new to this site! I have a few questions. Where can I get a manual? Parts? Are the John Deere Excavators the same and if so which model John Deere would that be? Any information would be helpfull. Grey Market is that a major problem? Thanks Nukehar

I had a grey market B50-2A for a while and I dealt with a place in Texas who was very helpful with parts and getting me the manuals. I will look up the name of the place and get back to you. It is not the same as the JD excavators anymore, they are now just re-badged Hitachi's.

Thanks What did you think of the machine? Have any trouble with it? I have only had it for a week, but want to be prepared! Seems to run real well with lots of power.

I had a B-22 for a few years. I got manuals and parts from Wakita. 1-800-365-7265. I think they sold out and are under a different name. The number was the same the last time I tried to call. If yours has a US model, you can get anything you want. If not, you are going to have to get connected with an importer to get parts.

The machine was great! I got it in Jersey for 17grand with 2300hrs on it, full cab w/heat, rubber tracks, and original paint(which I'd rather see when buying used) the bucket was kinda whipped but I added a C&P quick coupler(wain roy style) and some buckets and I also added plumbing to run a hydraulic thumb. The thing didn't give me a lick of trouble, I used it for three years, got lucky and sold it for 25 grand and bought a used Kubota 161-3 w/1100hrs for 35 grand. I see the guy who bought it and he can't say enough good things about it, he removes oil tanks and does some small addition work with it. Anyway, the name of the place is Dominion Equipment 800-365-7260, I think it must be the place the other guy is talking about, they were good to deal with. Good iuck with it and happy diggin'!
