The 3t90t engine just got a new turbo, we put a garret t3/t4 on it. It ran fine for 10 hours now it seems to flood out and has blown small aluminum peices from the exhaust. I took the turbo off it was not damaged and tractor ran the same without it. does this sound like a rebuild required and where can i get a kit

I can probably supply you with parts, but I don't know if you need a rebuild. The only aluminum that I would know of would be from a piston getting to hot & melting. It is a good idea to install a pyrometer if one is putting a different turbo than the OEM one, unless you are sure it is a compareable replacement. I'd recommend pulling the head & inspecting the pistons.

I will pull the head and check. I checked the valves and the exhaust side of the third cylinder didn't seem to move freely. I checked the specs on the turbo before we installed it and installed a waste gate and we did check the boost pressure to make sure we didn't create a runaway flame thrower. Thanks for your info.
