Yanmar 336d

I would still like to know about the hd spindles my 3810d is the same part numbers as a 3110d and 336d from what I can tell, so I wonder if mine by chance might be the good ones?

I need to replace a lower seal on one side so will probably get an idea based on the parts needed at that point but just pondering out loud I guess wondering how to tell whats a hd spindle or not can anyone tell me?

I use my loader a lot that's why I got it and I don't baby it weight wise so if anyone is going to break one its likely to be me so a hd set may be needed sooner or later if available still.

The title of the O.P got my attention because I had a YM336 d and I ordered it brand new, with the loader, a red Yanmar labled loader. That was a fine, fine tractor! As for the spindle issue, I must have been lucky because that tractor darn near spent as many hours on three wheels (BOTH FRONT) as it did on four!! (loader/fork work) and the only issue I had was to loose the front diff. and that was my fault, I never saw any leaks but ran it dry. Good luck with your parts hunting. I wish that I had kept my YM 336. I knew of commercial cutters that ran 186d (before the days of dedicated mowers and zero turns) that had over 8000 hours on them!

Would seem Aaron is saying there is only one available. I would think the one he is showing would be the equivilant to Yanmars updated one. Good picture of it. http://www.hoyetractor.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=HTE&Product_Code=SA-1411

Yup that's how I roll too!

Seems I am always trying to flip it over forwards and sideways like the tractor isn't even there for weight!

Ok thanks winston!

Wow that's not what I had pictured as the parts that break. I guess I was imagining the castings of the knuckle assembly were whats bad or something heck where I got that idea I have no idea? :confused2:

Well I will take a close look at mine for cracks then when I have it down.

Since Yanmar apparently made heavy duty OEM spindles for the YM336, I believe I would check with an Authorized Yanmar parts dealer for availability.

I got my heavy duty spindles from Jamieson's in PA and was quite satisfied with him. He can give you the information you need. Somewhere on this site it listed Yanmar parts/dealers etc. and he is listed.
I was MUCH happier with his product than from another source.

Wow! 8000 hours on a YM186D? Maybe mine is original then. On the dynamometer it exceeded new specs and it starts instantly. I assumed it had been overhauled. Maybe it didn't need it.

But it sure shows its 25 years. This one must have had a hard life.

Just found this site. Hope someone can help. Broken spindle on a 336d. I ordered a new spindle from hoye and it is thicker than than original. Guessing it's the HD shaft. It all fits back together minus the inside bearing. Does anyone know the part number for the correct bearing that will fit over the thicker shaft. We don't have a yanmar dealer here so it's hard to get parts for this tractor locally. Was going to start a new thread but thought it fit better here. Thanks in advance.

Thanks I'll order it and hope it fits. They also have a 306e bearing which I might order also. Just to be sure. Thanks again. Hoye updated their site and parts are much easier to find now just incase anyone is looking.
