My understanding is those 2200 heads are like hens teeth. Have you googled any Yanmar parts yards?

Has anyone seen Danny Parker recently? It seems he's abandoned his website and departed the tractor business, maybe slimmed down to just implements and trailers.

Years ago he was a YM2200 specialist.

i took the head to see if it was fixable and the guy said it would be tough and called me later and told me that their was a lot of cracks and that some one tried soldering it and it messed it up more than it helped so now im kinda up the creek with out a paddle but their has to be a head that cost less than the one i found

2200 heads are unique and rare as the proverbial doo doo, if I were you and you want this tractor running buy it. Otherwise part it out because you may never find another.

yea if you got it on a deal. Part out the 2200 as it has some unique older parts and buy a running $2500ish ym1500 or 1700 or 2000

1Danny. I see he hasn't posted here since 5 years ago. I see his Parker Equipment, PEQ . com, website is abandoned.

Tractor Ernie in Oregon might be the 'left coast' (his term) dealer you mentioned. I thought I read that he is in Florida now.

So far as I know that leaves Coldwater (no website) near Seattle as the only place selling original-condition Yanmar imports to the west of Fredricks' market area.

I think you could probably find a replacement engine cheaper than just the head. I always recommend TBN member "Bruce1966us" . Bruce Laten is located in Lynchburg TN and I have always felt his engine and shipping prices to be the best around. His number is 931-492-0316. He carries a variety of different brands of low hour Japanese diesel engines and almost always has a lot of Yanmars and Kubotas in stock. Apparently a Kubota v1100 will swap(?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qbPPXaLWgA

Yep Ernie was who i was thinking of.

It seems as though the Yanmars hayday of mass imports is over. small dealers have been dropping like flies the last 4-5 years. Or at least the era of in it to make a quick buck as your specialty is over due to many economic reasons.
