I dont mind getting the windshield from deere if it is in fact the best. which windshield did you get and why? i just know with aftermarkets and different materials maybe something better. by the way i have standard roll cage with factory poly top.

I just got mine Monday through the mail. Went with factory because I got a great deal on it on e-bay. This normally runs $373.00 but I picked it up for $250.00 new in the box.
Took about an hour to install and it fit nice and snug. Am very happy with it so far.

From what I have been told, is your better off getting the glass windshield. Doesn't scratch, and you can put a wiper on it..

I saw nothing in the manual stating any info. I was worried myself. I kept the lower part down so it was a full windshield and never got over 60 mph. So I know up to that point it's fine. Won't be able to get to 65 or 70 mph till spring time.
Yeah, it is about as aerodynamic as a brick wall with that windshield, and with that poly roof front overhang acting as a lip to catch the wind deflected by the windshield, I wondered whether either one could hold up to interstate transport speeds (70 mph+). I suppose it all depends on the tow vehicle and what that does to deflect wind, too.
And that windshield isn't glass? If poly, I wonder if the wind causing flexing even if it doesn't break it would cause hazing over time.
These questions, and so far no clear answers, have kept me from getting a roof or windshield although I think both would be nice!

My friend has the windshield on his gator and the fold-up bottom is great! You want the full windshield for cold mornings, but open it up as the day warms. That little hole makes a huge difference!
Towing, I can't say. But I would think towing with the flip folded up would be better. This allows some air to pass through instead of trying to block it all out.

This is the glass windshield we offer. It is hinged at the top, and you can see it in the open position in this photo to allow ventilation. It doesn't go all the way down to the hood, but rather a panel cuts back down to the dash so you can open the hood freely without anything to move out of the way first. We can set it up for both our own Poly Roof Kit and Header/Light Kit you see in the photo, as well as the Deere poly roof.
I've hauled this at interstate speeds with no problems, albeit full cab and loaded backwards on the trailer.
A lot of my dealers have commented on the short life span of the factory poly windshield due to scratching.

The poly windshields will flex if the wind hits them while on the trailer at highway speed. They are unlikely to break, but will gouge the hood if one is not careful. Since the hood is color impregnated and not painted this is hard to notice but can happen. The factory optioned accessory windscreens, both the half and full (I have the half and prefer it) fit up better and really look nice--I would stick with one of those in the length of your choice.

Yankeerider: We offer a wiper kit as a separate option. We have it for our roof, and the version for the Deere roof is available soon.
ORCM: The cab is great for poor weather conditions. Blocking the wind is about as valuable as keeping the rain off, especially if you have cold winter conditions. The cab has gasket material to seal up the doors, rear panel, and windshield. If you pressure wash it, you will find places for water to make its way in. But for keeping the weather out, you're going to stay dry.

I just put a lexan windshield on mine from ebay. cost 250. It wont scratch as easy as the john deere one.
