Those sure look good Tommy. I like the diamond plate. It looks like you even made a drain w/a cover. I wouldn't mind that feature, but a lot of the XUV owners probably just order the kit when they order their XUV, and never would know how to clean them out...so JD just leaves some holes in them to help the process.
I still don't see where holes in the bottom are going to leave a whole lot to chance, but having everything covered, insures that point.

Did you get your 1100 in yet?

I think what JD is trying to do is not create mud/rock catchers that could do more harm than good. Get enough muck in there and you'll cut your CV boots. Thus the holes in the back for drainage and cleaning (or self cleaning).

myself i always left the bottome wide open but alot of people wanted it blocked to so we blocked it up too the ones i made for my hpx just cover the front only and leave the bottom wide open .i never had a stick come from the botom i alaways had them hit in the frontor the rearbut mainlt from the front . if it was me i would leave the bottom open as much as possible and block the front and back because to me if you can run over the stick chances are it's not gonna suddenly pop out of the ground and shoot up and pop the boot.
