I have a new XR3037C. It has about 60 hrs on it. I bought it used and LS transferred the warranty for me. I have only put about 11 hrs on it. I was mowing my pasture today with a 5' shredder on it. The cab is so noisy I cannot believe it. Has anyone experienced this issue with there LS tractor? I had a dealer check it out and he said the noise level was 91 DB. I do not know what rpm he measured that at? He said that level is normal for that tractor and others like it???

I'd say it probably is normal. My XR3037HC is 3 years old this month. I never paid too much attention to the noise. It is much quieter than my last open station. I downloaded a couple sound DB apps for my phone and checked mine this morning while I was plowing a foot of snow. I had an average reading of 82 DB in the cab at 2200 RPM. That did include the heater fan running on #3 setting.
Your dealer probably measured his reading at PTO speed.

Thanks George, do you have a iPhone and if so what app did you use.i cannot believe the noise inside mine. This is the second cab I have had. I had a 2007 Kubota M 125 cab, 16 speed 4x4 6 cylinder. You could almost hear a pin drop inside. Really quite and very big compared to the XR3037C, plus 88 more hp.

I have an XR3135HC, first cab tractor that I have owned, I have 90+ hours on it and there definitely is a noise when running something off the PTO. I noticed it with my estate mower and rototiller, but when running them I generally have the side windows open for the fresh air so that helps. Plus I have a radio so that does take some of the noise away. But there is definitely a noise associated with the PTO running something. I also had an annoying noise that was the cover over the front windshield wiper motor. It vibrated all the time but when the wiper was running it would go on and off, put your hand on the cover and it when away. I took the cover off, cut 3 pieces of clear plastic tubing (battery vent hose) slit it down the side and slid it over the edge of the cover and put it back on. That noise went away.

Thanks for the reply Westernstar, yesterday I was using the tractor with a 5 ' shredder on the rear, had all windows and doors closed and it was extremely loud in cab. I guess I could open the back windows, but the cab would fill up with grass from cutting. It was so windy here, I could see cut grass whirling around the cab. I had AC on low, as it was 86 degrees outside. There is no way I could begin to hear the radio, I could just barely hear my cell phone when wife called. I had an annoying noise inside the cab the other day when it was sitting still and I idled it up to 2400 rpm. I could not find it, now that you mention your windshield wiper motor, it seemed to me it was coming from that area, but of course I could not feel vibration in the cab, I could only hear it. Doesn't happen all the time. Do you have a picture of what you did, so I can see. Thanks for info.

I have a new XR3037C. ... The cab is so noisy I cannot believe it.

I'm reasonably sure that my 3135 has pretty much the same cab. Sure, there's noise in there, but not nearly as noisy as an open station with a rotary mower. What exactly is the noise you're hearing? Is it tractor noise? Mower noise? Noise from the cab itself?

To be fair, though, I have some hearing loss and tinnitus, so maybe it's just not as bad to me.

I will try to grab a picture sometime and post it up. The noise was a vibration caused by the hard plastic cover rubbing on the glass windshield. the PTO noise I got sounded like a rubbing or grinding noise down in the bowels of the machine, but as it was only a couple of months old, and everything was full of oil I ran it, but turn the PTO off and it went away, turn it on and it came back. It happens with my mower, my rototiller and a brush chipper I have, but that is always running when I am outside. Your noise sounds a lot more serious than mine was.

Tried taking a picture, hope you can make it out. I used a clear piece of tubing, and it has to be soft and flexible. The battery vent tubing from a motorcycle battery is what I had. Not pretty but it worked well. The piece across the top is about 2 inches long, and two pieces on the bottom about an inch long.

Well Westernstar, I believe you solved one of my problems. I went to App Store, and downloaded 3 decibel meter apps to measure noise.i duplicated mowing yesterday, and I read 93.7 db of noise in cab. I believe that is a lot of noise. Later today my wife was driving tractor and I asked her about noise and she put her hand on wiper cover and part of noise went away. I am going to take off tomorrow and do what you did. After I do that I am going to re-measure do level. Thanks for your help.
